How long before hot tub use after surgery

Hi all. Got my surgery sorted for June 2nd and a holiday booked for July 6th-10th.
How long were you told to avoid hot tubs or pools after your surgery??

One week as long as the incision had healed up as expected.

Ask your doc or the nurse the next time you talk to them.
As long as the incision is healed up and closed, I think you should be good on hot tubs.

I’d wait until the incision is 100% without a doubt sealed up. Dr. Hakky told me six weeks before bathing, I wanted to be sure and waited more like ten weeks. This is for a penoscrotal incision, infrapubic could heal up faster.

My doc cleared me to bathe and soak in a hot tub at just over 2 weeks post. Definitely need the incision checked to ensure there are no open areas.

This is a doctor question. There are different methods of sealing the incision, and each patient has different risk factors. Don’t take this lightly, ask your doc.

Wow six weeks before bathing? Does that mean baths, or even showers? I had the subcoronal and was given the OK to take a shower after 3 days.
