Tubing Prominence

Postby splitpeach » Sun May 31, 2026 10:00 am

How does everyone find the tubing? Mine is very prominent and uncomfortable.

I had a penuscrotal approach and the tubing on the left side base of my penis is very proud and impedes sex. I can't use a VED as it presses against the tubing and is too painful.

I'm two months post. Surely this isn't normal?

The tubing is still changing for me at 9 months. It gets softer and easier to tuck away. But pumping is complicated. I would never use a ved cylinder raw like i used to, it can definitely damage the tubing. What i do is wear a big rubber seal behind the balls and another just on the shaft to keep the cylinder away from the tubes.

Also penoscrotal and I do have some tubing prominence but on the RHS. It has softened a little over time and isn't particularly visible. No problem at all during sex. I'm not aware of it now unless I feel around the base of my shaft when fully erect. Only quite recently I started using a VED again (infrequently) after more than 12 months post op. I do get discomfort from the VED pump base pushing down on the tubing if I pump it too hard. I've started using an Osbon Scrotal Shield with the VED to prevent my balls from being sucked into the tube. Not perfect but the shield also helps a bit with comfort and hopefully may protect the tubing to some degree. Also I pull the VED away from the tubing to relieve the pressure point if it becomes too uncomfortable. But less pressure is better and safer I think.

Question: With a working IPP, why do you feel the need for a VED pump?
Had ED for about 25 years, and used pills, then injections, until implant in 2024, following bout with cancer. Implant is AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24 at age 65. Thank you, Medicare!

I haven't had any problems with the tube. A VED can damage your implant. Perito exercises are a better option, along with inflating it twice a day for one hour.

I think it helps with gains. Stretches the tissue and gets blood flow in the glans and maybe tunica
