Re deflating: usually you just need to press and hold the deflation button once and hold it for, like 10 seconds and then just wait with or without pressure on the shaft. You don't have to keep pressing the deflation button all the time. After it went flacid, you give only one squeeze on the pump to close the deflation valve and to open the inflation valve (you hear a click). In my opinion, it's very easy to inflate and deflate the implant.
