TEP, Auxetic, upsizing

There's talk of undergoing Auxetic cuts or Tunica Expansion Procedure and upsizing implants on revision.

What I don't understand here is that the surgical capsule is formed on the first implantation (as there was obviously no foreign body there before). Upon creation, I understand once fully formed it can no longer be modified.

So then how can it be possible that any further expansion can happen whether by surgical cuts or by a larger implant? Surely, after first implant, whatever you achieve in those first few months is what the surgical capsule will be limited to and what your maximum size is forever?

hey split peach - I've had this done before. Basically got plicated for my peyronies (without my permission) with my first implant and ultimately had tunical expansion to regain some size and upsize my implant. tough recovery and high risk, but it did work for me, restoring more or less my original size before my first botched surgery.

So you did TEP and not Auxetic?

Did you have any remaining curvature between the plication and the TEP?

I've been told that because I have congenital curvature that TEP would / could make it worse.

It’s never been the surgical capsule that limits growth. It’s your natural cavernosa size and the max diameter of cylinders that limits growth. The capsule grows over many months. There are many videos that say with consistent cycling you can see gains out to and even past the one year mark. I asked my Dr at one point if the old capsule can be removed during revision. His answer was yes it can but if it’s a replacement and there’s no issue with placement they just slide old out slide new in. If the need to change placement as in tips were too low or a rupture or crossover I believe the adr would remove the old surgical capsule..
