new implant pump question

Postby bcant43 » Sat Jun 27, 2026 8:21 pm

Was implanted 10 days ago by Dr Taj. At our one week appt, he said to go ahead and try to cycle, if the swelling and pain allowed. I have tried to pump twice now while in the shower. Both times when squeezing the pump, I can feel, with my fingers, the fluid moving. Is this normal? I'm also concerned because I don't see or feel any effect after 5-10 pumps (that's about all I can manage). I press the deflate button and squeeae and again nothing seems to happen. Taj did inflate/deflate at our appt this week, but I didn't see movement then either.
My flaccid state is sticking straight out horizontally. Is that normal also?
Is the pump working; do I need to pump more or press harder, or am I over reacting and need to give it more time?
Thanks!

I would give it more time, 10 days is really early. A lot of us weren't allowed to cycle until 6 weeks.
Every surgeon has a different protocol. By all accounts Dr Taj is excellent, trust in his advice.

Yes you can sometimes feel the transfer of fluid from the reservoir into the cylinders.
5 to 10 pumps isn't many and the number of pumps to achieve a full erection varies widely.
5-10 barely gets me started, but I have a different model and I'm also nearly 16 months in after a lot of use and cycling.

If you are definitely sticking out horizontally when completely flaccid that is unusual. What is your flaccid angle normally?
Are you sure he didn't leave you partially inflated? I was 30-40% inflated 24/7 for the first 6 weeks, which is a common practice.
It was basically a full on boner sticking out horizontally, but just not as hard as it can get.

If you are actually partially inflated, that could possibly account for the lack of visual difference when you try to inflate etc.
You may also not be activating the deflation mechanism when you press it, so nothing happens. That could account for no physical change when you also squeeze your penis. It isn't moving any fluid back into the reservoir. Some guys do report that the deflation block (release bars) on the Titan can be quite stiff and difficult to press initially. All very hypothetical but might be worth checking out.
