Stretched Length Measurement

Postby allin320 » Tue Jun 30, 2026 8:35 am

So I just had the stretc length test in the doctors office. It was not bone pressed. I do have quite a bit of a fat pad. He said I’m around 4 1/2 inches stretch length not bone pressed.Has anyone had any experience losing weight and gaining visual length on their penis? I guess I was surprised because my length with trimix is 6 inches. I understand the doctor wants to get realistic expectations.

Most top tier Drs wouldn’t consider even doing a stretch test. It means so little! A VED will generally give you a little xtra length because the tube presses into your fat pad and it also stretches the loose tissue of the glands out more than any implant or natural blood filled cavernosa could possibly do. My 4 year old titan was about 1/4to 3/8 less than my previous VED measurement. If properly sized by a well qualified Dr you will get as much as your cavernosa bodies will take. Exercising the implant will stretch things out all they will stretch over time.
60yo.ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works w diminishing results.
Implanted 5-22 Titan 20cm with 1cm RTE.
Revision 3-26 Titan 24cm with 1cm trimmed off.
Infection, salvage 5-26 Titan 24cm -1cm trimmed.

Did you use a VED prior to getting your implant? My doctor told me doing it pre-implant doesn’t really change anything. Did you use it after you got your implant also?

Docs have a variety of approaches. The most accepted self measurement practice is to measure yourself bone pressed. That gives a consistent result and overcomes the issue of the pubic fat pad hiding some length. Most of us have at least some of that. If you are currently 6 inches bone pressed from a Trimix erection it's reasonable to hope to achieve that with an implant over time from healing and cycling. Losing weight is an accepted way of gaining visual length, i.e. you will look longer, and it's good for your general health, but it won't change the bone pressed length.

As long as you are measured and fitted correctly in the OR is what matters. That's why a very experienced and skilled implant surgeon is so important.

If you suffer with severe ED for an extended period without any remedy, such as injections or a VED, the penis starts to atrophy and shrink. That happened to me but I reversed the effect with daily VED use. I continued VED therapy aggressively up until surgery, which enabled my surgeon to implant the largest sized cylinders that would fit my anatomy. Over many months I eventually I recovered my pre ED size. My 2 cents.
71, married, Sydney Oz. PC/nerve sparing RRP Mar 2022 caused 100% total ED. Tried pills, Trimix inj, focal shockwave, VED. All failed. Implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal. Got back to 6.5" BPEL @ 9m. Loving it.

Thank you for the info. So prior to your surgery how often and how long did you do the VED daily?
