Did or Hakky?

Postby vincentarpino » Mon Jul 13, 2026 11:40 pm

As I anticipate possible revision surgery only 8 months in, I will not be going back to my original surgeon. I am looking at NYC.

So....Dr. Eid or Dr. Hakky. Looking for honest input, please.

Both are great choices. If you want to build a long term relationship with a surgeon, it's worth noting that Hakky is quite young and Eid is pushing 80 and likely to retire in a shorter timeframe. Otherwise you will not go wrong with either, IMO.

Dr. Hakky performs implant surgery in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Eid works in NYC.
I'm in my early 70's. Serious problems with ED started in my early 60's. ED drugs were eventually not effective enough. Aquired VED pump and constriction rings in 2024 which provides usable erections for sexual activity.

I you are looking at NYC and a revision, Dr Eid seems like the clear choice.

Both will do a good job for you, but I don’t think anyone on the planet has done more cases than Dr Eid. No matter the situation, he has likely seen it and fixed it before.
57yo, NYC. ED started at 40. Pills, then shots for 10 years. 24cm Coloplast Titan XL w/classic pump by Dr Eid 3/25/2025. Will meet for show & tell.

I'd go with Hakky unless you're ready to move to Titan. Then Eid is fine. If you're willing to self-pay I'd also look into Rigicon. As far as I know Eid doesn't implant Rigicon. In NYC only Valenzuela implants Rigicon and, while I hear great things about the guy, I don't know a single person who was implanted by him, like zero feedback besides what you get from google reviews. Other than that I'd go either with Hakky in Atlanta, or Clavell in Houston. Hakky would be fine with whatever, but Clavell is renown for his aversion to LGX. Eid too by the way.

Hakky is down on AMS now too. He told me on my last visit he will never install another AMS implant unless the patient insists.

Sure hope my Eid implanted Titan lasts beyond his retirement date. When I inevitably need a revision I think Haky will be my choice.

Just had mine done with Eid in April ( I live in nyc). He absolutely aced mine. Also I was a challenging case with lots of scar tissue discovered the surgery and anger still got the job done. As others have noted he won’t be reacting much longer. Haky is also an elite tier surgeon and likely who I will go to for revision in the future.

I know he is. I spoke to him few times myself. Main reason most of high volume implanters prefer Coloplast is because it's easier to revise. I heard it from two implanters now. Other than that they each have their pros and cons.
