6 Week(almost) Update

Hello All,

I want to give my 6 week update and there is one incident which I hope will calm others in my situation.

Surgery on 6/15/2026 by Dr. Leon Telis in NYC. Titan with classic pump.
Follow up DR on 6/26/2026 where says its all recovering well and asked me set up follow up in 4 weeks.
He tried to deflate me at this visit but pain was too much and other than pain it was inflated penis which was bothersome.

As pain started going away around 4 weeks mark, I sent him an email asking if I can try deflating/inflating. He said , sure if you can. He also sent me an instructional video. I tried but it was painful and especially deflation. I feel I am always semi-erect even now. Now my standard of deflation is if it is somewhat pointing downward while inflation points straight and it is so rigid that I can push it down.
Around 5 week mark I noticed a thread/suture sticking out near the top of incision area and some oozing which didn’t bother me much.
At my 7/21 appointment he did see the thread/suture and snipped it with scissors. He was very happy with how everything was healing and gave me go ahead for normal sexual activities (i told him i have already masturbated a few times in prior weeks).
The day following 7/21 appointment where suture was snipped appeared like small open hole and I started seeing more oozing and on 7/24 I noticed some puss and I started panicking that I may have potential infection. I sent him pictures and emails after email on the same day. When he replied, he reassured me that what I am seeing is granulation tissue and it is all normal and it will heal on its own. That really put me at east. I also searched this forum for granulation tissue and there was a post with pictures which looked identical to what I see and that user also said his doctor said not to worry about it and it eventually healed.
I cannot have sex right now (though I want to) because of this since it is somewhat open and healing and scabbing, but otherwise my recovery is going well and I am looking forward to using it. I don’t have any pain or irritation but here and there there is some minor discomfort and some sensitivity in the penis/glans. Balls are totally fine.
I also inflate and deflate once a day as my Dr suggested. When I asked my Dr how long I should leave inflated before deflating, he said 10 minutes. Which I do this every night before bedtime.
As I have said earlier even my max deflated which I can manage, it is sufficiently rigid for masturbation and if I could for sex too.
This upcoming Monday (7/27) I will be full 6 weeks after surgery. If anyone has any questions please ask.

sounds like you are experiencing your recovery in a good way, with thoughtful discovery. enjoy your road home, it will be a year or more of slight changes. You will have much fun becoming whole again, ed is such a mind fuck it does a number on all of us it's rewarding to know there is a way out!
