Can you feel your tubing?

Postby Mtricher » Fri Jul 31, 2026 6:22 pm

I’m about six months post implant. Things are pretty good, but I do notice that I can very easily feel the tubing to the left side. It feels like a coil under the skin and I have no problems moving it and grabbing a hold of it. I can’t remember if it was always like this. Part of me is concerned that because I do some heavier exercises and I might have displaced the reservoir or pushed things down a bit. Actually, I’m a little on the leaner side, so it’s very easy for me to trace all of them and where they connect.

I would consider talking to my doctor, but I live four hours away from him and I’m not sure it’s worth the drive just for him to go. “Oh yeah you’re fine.”

It doesn’t really cause me any problems. It’s not painful, but I have an awareness of it sometimes. Maybe a bit of a fullness feeling?

How does your tubing feel? Can you grab a hold of it? Move it around?

I suspect that's likely the answer you would get from your doc. Looks good to me brother. I have a different implant but much the same with the tubing, albeit mine is on the right. Seems to be fairly common from what I've read on here. Never been a problem. I don't notice it at all when flaccid. It can stick out a little when I'm fully erect but no issues for vigorous PIV sex etc. I can also grab hold of mine and move it around. In fact my surgeon told me to lift it up when pumping for maximizing inflation. I know it really bothers some guys but my thinking is if it's not causing a problem, try and live with it. Eventually you forget about it.

I was done infrapubic first time and you could trace it with your finger around shaft on left side but no way I could move it around. It was sewed in I think. When it came around and went into scrotum I could obviously feel it and follow it to reservoir. I could tell which tube went out toward reservoir from pump but could only get finger around tubing just above pump. Was paced very near perfectly. Don’t think any Dr that installed would say there was anything wrong with what you have as long as it’s functioning properly. My issues with first one was placement of reservoir and tips of cylinders poking out the bottom of glans. My second was done scrotally and you could feel tubes coming out of cavernosa just below base and could get fingers around them but there was only about an inch to the pump so not noticeable nor any issue.
60yo.ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works w diminishing results.
Implanted 5-22 Titan 20cm with 1cm RTE.
Revision 3-26 Titan 24cm with 1cm trimmed off.
Infection, salvage 5-26 Titan 24cm -1cm trimmed.

Mine was done infrascrotal as well, and the tubes are the same as yours.
I do wish the tubes from the cylinders to the pump were an inch or so longer, so the pump could hang lower in my scrotum. As it is, it's right below my penis, and fairly prominent.

Yep, I can feel the tubes, especially when flaccid. I have an AMS 700 CX, so different than yours. I wish they were not noticeable, but they have to run tubing. When erect, I can still feel them, but much less prominent and they are located on the right side. Unlike Bigdave, my tubing is long enough that my MS pump is located, and stays located at the bottom of my scrotum.

In any case, it's just another thing that's different after getting an implant (tubing, shower vs. grower, an erection for as long as you want it :D , etc.). I think that would be a wasted 4 hour trip to the Doc as you've suggested, unless you have some other specific problem. Otherwise, enjoy and repeat. Enjoy and repeat!

you will get used to the tubes , we all go through this when the brain is dealing with a new reality and deciding if its going to forget about the implant and its many mechanical realities. You are looking great!
