Anyone Else Here Destroy Their Penis From Hair Loss Medication Then Go Back To Hair Loss Medication After An Implant

Hi guys. I started using 1mg finasteride daily for hair loss back in July 2020. That daily dose lowered my libido and massively reduced my semen volume, and made my semen viscous water, but it did not impact the look, feel, or erectile function of my penis. I don't think it damaged my penis but I suppose you can never be sure.

I felt like finasteride was losing efficacy on my hair so in July 2023 I switched to dutasteride.

Dutasteride certainly did destroy my penis, hence why I had to get a penile implant last year.

When I started taking dutasteride I used 0.5mg about 4 or 5 days a week.

I would say after 1 - 2 days/tablets it massively lowered my libido, further reduced semen volume and started giving me erectile dysfunction. I certainly know that within 1 - 2 weeks my erectile function was dying. It happened quick. The effects were strong. I was stupid so I kept taking the drug. 3 months after I started I literally heard and felt something pop inside my penis when trying to masturbate. The next day my penis was cold, shrivelled, small, skinny and unresponsive to everything. It had mutated. That's when I quit dutasteride. After a few weeks I could masturbate again but my penis never recovered. The flacid was forever skinnier and felt bizarre and horrible after that. It looked different. Based on research I believe that the smooth muscle tissue in my penis mutated into collagen.

I got a Titan last November. I've been using 1mg of finasteride at the lower frequency of 3 days weekly for months now with minimum side effects but my hair is still falling out.

So now the thought of adding dutastedide into the mix has entered my head again. This might sound crazy, but I'm wondering has anyone else with this experience gone back to taking dutastseide after an implant?

I'm trying to figure out if I can perhaps even take a lower dose of 0.25mg at the lower frequency of maybe 1 or 2 days a week, and then maybe just 1mg of finasteride 1 day per week. Trying to figure out if that would do any damage to my penis now that I have an implant?

Could it possibly destroy what little remaining tissue I have left in my penis or give way to awful problems, or is it safe to now take a low dose of low frequency dutastieride?

In my opinion the implant is really a lot more enjoyable if you have some engorgement. So I wouldn't want to take any medication that could reduce that engorgement

That's a fair point. I currently get good engorgement. No engorgement would be fairly shit.

I remember hearing about that side-effect when Rogaine first hit the market.
A guy at work was using it, so I asked him how smart it was to grow hair to attract the ladies, and not be able to perform when he got one. LMAO

BUT .....Topical Rogaine (minoxidil) does not cause erectile dysfunction (ED). Because you apply it to the scalp, very little of the medicine enters your blood. It does not change your hormones. People often mix it up with oral hair loss pills like finasteride, which can sometimes lower sex drive
