He said I had a little extra internal just cause I’m a little on the heavy side. Not sure if 23 cm is average below average or above average?

Its above average. Im 23 cm. 4 months out. Currently 7.25 inches x 6.25 inches. But that was basically my preop size. If you have more body fat, it may come out looking less
Became bionic 3/2026. Hakky - rigicon infla10ax 23 cm (22+1 rte). Chronic ed - tried pills, ved, bimix/trimix. Had mild venous leak on doppler. Took the plunge when ultrasound showed fibrosis and i knew it was only a matter of time before i needed one

Looking forward to no swelling. Dr said a few more weeks. Apparently I have low platelets which affects the healing/swelling. Probably at 30% less swelling now.

I do agree with most on franktalk that I care less about final length and more about being able to get hard without the mental anguish of ED.

I do also think my surgeon set my expectations low wit his quasi stretch test in his office. Much larger than his stretch test indicated. Others on franktalk said most high volume surgeons don’t even do a stretch test. I guess it’s true that the surgeon has no idea until they measure you on the operating table.

Allin, It sounds like you are recovering well. Yes, functionality is far more important than length, but you have as good a chance as any of us to regain pre op size with healing and cycling. If you're already seeing a larger size than expected that's a positive sign. I asked my surgeon about measurement and he told me he doesn't do it pre op, he will measure me accurately on the table. Your implant length of 23 cm is above average but penis length can vary for the same size implant. It depends how much is internal vs external. Try to relax and look forward to when you can use your new bionic dick :D. Trust me, the mental anguish of ED will be a thing of the past when you pump the thing up and it's hard whenever you want, as long as you want.

allin,
I'm only a few days ahead of you so I thought this might be helpful.
I was nearly overwhelmed with the soreness and how stiff the bulb was and how difficult it was to cycle. took me a few days just to get through any semblance of a cycle. Members on this site gave me some good advice, based on perspective.
I can now cycle and have begun to work with what I have. I was exactly like you are now, seriously considering I had made a huge mistake- but as many members on here say, every day truly does get a little bit better.
The different between us is I had the infrapubic approach, so I didn't have the scrotal surgical trauma to recover from first. I am writing this so that when you do begin cycling in earnest, you won't get overwhelmed and discouraged. I have been shocked at how quickly the body recovers, and it is absolutely true that every day gets a little bit better. Have faith where you only see an obstacle- at least go through the motions, and you will begin to see progress.
I am 20 days post-op.

Thanks for that info. I feel right now a little over two weeks after the operation, that I’m about 50% better as far as swelling. Not sure when I’m going to start cycling, my assumption based on my doctor is that it will be around the six week mark. My thoughts are that based on how life-changing this operation is, it is worth six months or so of getting used to it and cycling and having the swelling and pain go away.

Looking forward to dating again and not having the ED issue on the back of my mind the whole time. Also hoping that when I do find someone they’re understanding. And if they aren’t, I’ll just move on and find someone that is.

Congrats! You'll be healed and back to normal before you know it. I was able to gain almost an inch through cycling and using mine, so where you are now is probably not where you will end up.

Question for you guys. Can I expect a lot of pain when I start cycling? What has been your experiences?
