LGX- I can count on you always encouraging the new folks, including me. I really appreciate that.

John- let me say for the record that although the extra girth is great, I genuinely wish I didn't feel the need to get it. I would also say I suspect most people don't need it. It was a unique circumstance that drove me that direction, see above posts. Although I got lucky, every intervention has a down side, and what we think is very important to us sometimes isn't... so, I agree with your general advice.

Also, good luck with your health challenges. As my Dad used to say, "getting old ain't for old people". We are all fighting for function, and I admire the ones who don't go down without a fight. Hang in and press on.

It is one month to the day I got home from surgery, thought I would post an update for the newly implanted, facing a world of pain and adjustment (which is likely nearly everybody)-

The first week to 10 days was by far the hardest. However, after the second week the continual soreness lessened. Cycling slowly began to gel- still very painful, but I could get through the process and managed to average around 30 minutes 2 times a day.

Beginning around the middle of the 3rd week, I was able to make it an hour each time, initially by sheer force of will. I noticed for the first time, though, that pain slightly lessened as the hour went by. I started adding pumps, which I could by the end of an hour, just mini pumps, until the pain returned. I toughed that out for 20- 30 more minutes, then deflated. Over the next few days, I have been able to tolerate longer sessions, so I have tried an experiment. I leave inflated for 60 minutes, until pain is nearly gone. I then add a few mini pumps until pain is back. I repeat this at 90 minutes, leave inflated for 30 more minutes, then stop. I do this twice a day.

I think what is signified by the lessened pain and ability to pump a bit more is stress relaxation of the cavernous tissue. I also think progressive expansion of the implant is occurring as well- so I will call this the cylinder-corporal system. I think the extra pumps signify at least a small amount of expansion.

My theory is that if I stopped at 30 minutes or an hour without adding volume, I would not get this expansion. What I don't know is whether it is temporary, or whether I am shifting the expansion curve to earlier in the usual process (usual process length expansion 6-12 months in). I guess we will see.

It is finally becoming a bit more routine, I will say. Still hurts, though.

You are doing great man. You probably cycle more than i do and now am back to preop size. I regained all of it back definitely by month 4. So no doubt youll get there. I really like the rigicon ax on how natural it feels. Its super hard too. And its the thickest in the market so hopefully over time it may help with girth gains. Im gonna go see hakky and try bellafill — ill do 4 syringes first. Its super expensive man.

Yes, it is ridiculously expensive- but doesn't go anywhere. The thing is, the larger the penis, the more it takes. The max Dr Carney would do at a time was 10 cc; he always stressed the only right way to do it was gradually. Clumping with nodule formation is always a lurking possibility. I just haven't found any other way- HA is great, but disappears too quickly. Silicone or implants for girth are out for me- too many long term problems... so here we are.

Here's a bit of reflection about Bellafil. PMMA is suspended in bovine collagen, which generates a very strong immune/inflammatory response. It takes 2-3 months for your own collagen to replace the bovine collagen and encase the PMMA particles. The final volume is roughly the same as what was injected, but it's not exact. Dr Carney would not inject Bellafil without an antecedent dosing of HA, thinking the immune response would be more intense and therefor promote clumping. You have already had HA, so that's not your scenario.

I talked to Dr Hakky yesterday- he won't even talk about filler for me until after the infection window has passed (3 months), and would prefer to wait longer. I'll follow his advice, but will do it as soon as I can.

Hard Penis,Aloha from Maui, six weeks ago I had Peronies Disease straightening surgery and the installation of penis pump. Since then, when ever I walk around my penis stiffens. When I sit the penis softens. Additionally, during the evening my penis stiffens and it becomes difficult to get it to soften. I was hoping by this time these issues might resolve itself. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced these issues and how you might have addressed them?

It sounds like you are not closing your valve.

To close the valve after deflating, you must pump 1-2 times. That will lock it in place, and prevent more fluid from coming in.

To be honest, I leave my valve open on purpose, I'm used to daily fluctuations and it feels more natural to me. The only theoretical downside of that is the scar formation around the reservoir may be theoretically smaller and might limit the reservoir size- but that is a small amount and I don't expect my usage pattern to change.
