Implant infection

Guys one of my friend initially got Rigicon ipp done but he got an infection within a month then the doctor perforned salvage surgery and put rigi 10 malleavle but even that got infected now
Another doctor removed the implant and asked him to do ved for 6 months pand he will do ipp again

Initially he was around 6.5 in length can anyone advice how much length and girth will he lose??

I had the same issue.
My IPP got infected after 2 months.
The. dr salvaged with MPP.
MPP also got infected within a week.

I has second salvage with MPP.
When I asked dr about not doing a salvage and just leave it alone ( i was worried about another infection ) he said because of scarring etc one can lose 25% to 50 % (!!!!!) of length.
So I went with second salvage within 10 days.

I didn't lose anything because i had salvage both times.
Salvage meaning they put new malleable.
I was telling you what Dr told me what will happen
of he does not put a new malleable in.

yeah, I can tell you of my salvage operation...and loss:(.
I initially went in and got the Titan. All went well for about a week. On the 2nd weekend, my ball sac was the size of a small grapefruit on a Saturday, No pain, go figure. Swelling stayed for the Sunday, but started going down Sunday night. By Monday, swelling was still going down. Tuesday appt. came, but I wish i took pics because Doc did not believe me....still no pain.
Come the 3rd week, coming up on getting permission to pump. No pain until I actually tried to pump.
Went into Dr. office couple days later to 'show' me how to pump.
Doc grabbed my balls. I told him it hurts, he did not believe me and tried to pump anyways. I screamed holy hell and am sure the clinic heard me. I grabbed his wrist, looked him in the eye and said it will not happen.
He referred me to a more experienced colleague. Upon seeing my balls, he immediately, and I mean by just looking, said it was infected.
Salvage took place. Malleable was inserted, healed in about 2 weeks:).
Had fun for about 4 months until the Titan was put back in. I was disappointed in outcome (size). Nurse told me for every operation, you lose 1/4". I know I lost more than that.
I am now over 6 years with this Titan, will go for the malleable next time..getting too old to pump/deflate.

Whoa - she said for every operation you lose 1/4 inch? Is that the case for every revision even if there's no infections?

I'm pretty sure that I read on this forum that one of the best, if not "the" best, of the US implanters mentioned to more than one of his post-ops that one should be gaining a bit of length with every revision, no matter what type of implant you'd get.

Afga13, man, travel if need be but make sure that your implanter is one of the high volume surgeons frequently mentioned on this forum. Clavell, Hakky, Perito, Eid, Kramer, Levine, Taj, Patel or Karpman maybe if you're on the West Coast. Otherwise you really are taking your dick in your own hands, pun intended but figuratively speaking in this case.

I had an infection and had a Malleable for a period of time. Fortunately, surgeon has very aggressive about vacuum with the malleable to try to maintain as much size as possible before went back in and placed a new inflatable. I appreciate everything that was done, because i blame myself for getting the original inflatable infected after getting fat graft injections for girth in Mexico which was a terrible idea. Just so thankful for Dr. Patel
