Just hit the dreaded flat bulb. I’ve been trying to cycle again and max fill. I never hit the flat bulb from inflation since my last revision. I hit it today and I wasn’t even trying to max inflate. Idk if I recently stretched the implant to max inflation because during cycling it never went flat. I inflated today to just crank out a nut and it seemed to hit max inflation and the bulb went flat without even trying to max inflate. I checked the regidity of the erection and it seemed good but not 100% before it went flat. Worried i am leaking and things will quickly get worse and in my 10 years of being implanted in about to maybe have my 4th revision and I know how much you people make me worry about having a revision and 100% chance of infection.
God I hope being able to hit the flat bulb with LESS pumps doesn’t mean a leak.

It should be obvious within a few days. I hit my flat bulb about 12 months into it as did a friend at about the same time after surgery. I was recently implanted a 3rd time and Dr said he put a lot more fluid than recommended so this should never happen on this one.
Born 1965 ED at 45 pills, shots all failed.
Implanted 5-22 Titan 20cm with 1cm RTE.
Revision 3-26 Titan 24cm with 1cm trimmed off.
Infection, salvage 5-26 Titan 24cm -1cm trimmed
Explanted 6-17
Implanted 9-2 Titan 22cm less 1 cm trimmed

Yeah I hope so. I’m hearing that the leak develops quickly once it starts so I should know soon if it is a leak. Maybe I’ll inflate and stay inflated for a hour. If it survives a hour I would imagine I’m in the clear

If you want to know, cycle it several times. If it’s leaking it will probably get less firm with each cycle.
If you want to preserve function for your vacation, leave it alone until you get there then pump it up and leave it hard until you leave.

I hit flat bulb Today as I was trying to cycle. What exactly do you mean try it again later? I thought if it was flat bulb when trying to pump it meant that the whole implant was no good?
I am on my first revision that I had in Nov of 2017.
Do I just leave it for a few days and try to pump it again?

I am on my first revision
There are two reasons for a flat pump:
1) The implant has failed and is leaking.
2) You have reached the maximum size of the cylinders for the available fluid volume
The first needs a revision, the second needs nothing unless you have inadequate rigidity of the implant, in which case you either need fluid added or a revision. I have a flat bulb right now at max inflation, about 11 months post-op. The implant is working fine, I seem to have just drained the reservoir completely at maximum inflation. I seem Hakky on the 21st but I’m not terribly concerned at this point. I still csn inflate to maximum, which is a little painful so I don’t do it much, with no problem.

Hi,
I think the left cylinder has a leak. I think I heard a small "pop" noise and then it went flat.
I have sent a message to Dr. Karpman, so I will see how to proceed next.
Thanks,
