Learning to inflate

If any experienced members (pardon the pun) could offer some insight, I'm three weeks post-op and will begin cycling soon. I've played around a bit with pumping and deflating but have some questions.

1. When pumping it up, I hear and feel the "duck call" for maybe 3 or 4 pumps, but then it goes away with subsequent pumps. Is that normal? The bulb isn't flat or super hard yet. So, if I can't feel or hear the "duck call", does that mean it's still moving saline to the cylinders or does that signify that I've reached my corporal capacity?
2. Do you have a favorite single-hand position for pumping? I saw a video about resting the bulb against a curved index finger and pressing with your thumb. But I've also seen sample videos where the bulb is in the upper palm and pressed with two fingers.

I've had my LGX 700 over 8 years. I've never heard the "duck call", though I have heard about it from others. For me, the inflation happens with each squeeze of the bulb and I don't hear anything.

Initially, the squeezing was very difficult - the bulb was new and more rigid then and my scrotum was sore and unused to being pinched. It was always easier to do in hot water and I even bought a hot tub to make it more enjoyable. I would squeeze the bulb and it wouldn't really flatten out all the way, but perhaps I wasn't pushing hard enough.

Now, from the first squeeze until the implant starts getting full, I can completely squeeze the bulb flat in the middle. I get about 15-17 pumps this way and then the squeezing doesn't go quite so deep. For about 3 more tries, I get partial depression of the bulb.until it's just clear that no more fluid is going in. I can still partially depress the bulb, but it really doesn't move and fluid.

So as far as point 1, IMO you don't need to hear anything to have the fluid moving, you just have to sense that the bulb is depressing. Little by little, as I do this, my dick pops up. Capacity for me is when I can't really squeeze the bulb enough to think fluid is moving. It's pretty easy to tell, though i sometimes try to keep pressing just hoping to get a little bigger.

As far as point 2, I was taught by my doc and still use an approach where I grab the tubes at the top of the pump between the fingers of my left hand, while pumping with the fingers of my right hand. Reverse for lefties, I guess. That keeps the pump from slipping between my fingers as I squeeze it. It's kind of painful to be squeezing hard and have the bulb suddenly slip out. With my left hand fingers on the tubes, they can push against the top of the pump (the rectangular block above the bulb) and the combination of hold on the tubes and blocking the motion from pushing backward makes it pretty easy.

The quacking is sporadic at best. I can pump mine slow and steady and it don’t make a sound. Sometimes it does sometimes it don’t. If your pumping and bulb is refilling it’s most likely pumping fluid in cylinders. You’ll know for sure as it begins to build pressure. Your most like a long way from being pumped up! Bulb will get rock hard. As far as positions for pumping. Sample as many ways as you like till one works best for you. Pump placement and hand size all play a big part on what works best.

Thank you both for going so in depth. I know this Q is basically “Bionic 101” but couldn’t find a straightforward clarification on my own. Thank you for your insight into pumping technique too.

I find it easiest to practice lying flat with the penis pointing up. Use both hands. I use my right hand to pump (right handed) while my left hand squeezes it at the same time. It will also allow you to max out your cylinders. Give yourself time, it will come to you naturally and youll eventually figure out what works best. I hear a sound each time i pump but its subtle, almost like the sound of water being moved around. I like hearing the sound vs having no sound. It lets me think the pump is working

Honking is intermittent, and louder on the first few pumps. Totally normal.

Get into good habits early — the Titan almost always fails at the tubing junctions with the pump. So try to keep the pump as straight as you can. Don’t twist, flex or bend the pump around to make it more comfortable or easier. Instead adjust your hand position and try to keep the pump steady.

When i inflate sometimes I hear the duck call

(Funny typo I typed Fuck call on first draft) But almost always feel a tingle inyid section. That's the fluid leaving the reservoir.
