Replace LGX with CX??

I've heard from several men now that have had replacements of their LGX implants that their doctors used a CX for the replacement, rather than another LGX. Does anyone know why? Are there others that have had the same or a different implant, say moving from an LGX to a Titan, and if so, why?

I've also heard, anecdotally, that some men have gotten larger implants when they got a revision, but I don't know if it is actually true, wishful thinking, or just a small sample size of information.

I've had my implant over 8 years now and it's certainly possible that I will eventually need a replacement. Just trying to understand the thinking about implant choices. I'm very happy with my LGX.

Hey Quincy!

LGX seems to be the best for a softer, more natural hanging flaccid. The CX and Titan are a bit less supple when deflated.

All three seem to get MORE than hard enough for any sexual activity.

The CX and Titan have a larger girth. So guys with above average girths are often recommended to get those models. I think the max length of the CX and Titan are longer as well.

My first implant had me at 7inchs or so fully pumped. My revision had me at 9+ fully pumped. I have a CX that recently failed after 9+ years of use.

My first hand experience: yesterday I had a revision surgery to replace my originally implanted LGX that had failed after 9 years of service with CX.
The original LGX length was 21+2cm. The new CX one is 24+2cm. So yes, the revision device is longer than the original one.

Dr. Kansas explained it by the fact that after the initial LGX installation the tissue has accustomed to the max stretch and no longer is a subject of length loss unless there are some complications.
Second reason is that CX provides better rigidity; not that I would complaint about LGX firmness.

In overall, CX is relatively simpler model thus having less chances of premature failure.

I know this is an incredibly stupid question, but: you serious??? That’s a crazy gain.

I also gained 2cm on my first revision after 4-1/2 years. As Dr explained it’s not necessarily a gain as in you’ll be 2cm longer. Dr explained that the base rear tips generally wallow out for lack of better words or they seat in and over time migrate to loosen the area in length. A lot of revisions are generally around 2cm longer. I would doubt that this would continue to be true because at some point if you survived long enough for 2-3 revisions due to failure, then surely the rear tips would eventually bottom out in the natural cavernosa. Just saying what I’ve read and gotten directly from Dr.
