Glad you are healing well and hope you have a speedy recovery. Did you have a drain placed during your revision this time? If so, for how many days?

Im glad you are healing well!

Im curious if your penis feels/looks the same as before the infection, or if anything changed? Do you still get the same engorgement you used to have before revision?

Yes. I’ve had a drain every surgery I’ve had. I think Clavell uses drains with any revision. I was sent home wrapped like a mummy and drain in on Wednesday and then Saturday morning I removed all wrap and also the drain myself at home. When I removed the wrap and drain I had almost zero swelling and had only been getting about 15-18cc of fluid per 24 hours ea day out of the drain reservoir.Only had one small bruise about the size of a quarter on my scrotum otherwise none.

Look and feel is normal so far. I’m just 11 days out today. Infection only showed at incision site before revision and explantation. I’m already seeing and feeling a little engorgement when I get stimulated but it’s not very pleasant at this point. Makes the glans ache a little. Trying to avoid this for next couple weeks but very difficult when you’ve only had sex twice In last 7 months! Lol.

Thank you Rider1400. That’s one thing I missed and wish I had one. I thought I was required to visit the clinic again to get the drain removed (not possible on Saturday!) and hence didn’t request one. Good to know that you were able to remove them yourself with no hiccups.
