LGX pump stopped working after 9 years

I got my drain system removed. It was a bit painful but I came prepared by taking painkillers 1 hrs before the appointment.
Dr. Kansas explained me the reason for my LGX failure. LGX cylinders have 2 walls, it is like one tube within another. Normally, the fluid goes into the inner tube, and from there retreats back to the reservoir. Outer tube is for sizing only.
What happened was that the inner tube got broken and the liquid entered the outer cylinder from where there is no escape as it is not connected to the fluid pipe.
If I am not mistaken, CX does not have the dual wall cylinder design.

Day 2 after the surgery.
My scrotum is swollen and dark bruises on he penis and nuts.
After the drain system removal yesterday, the doctor said I could take shower right away since my incision was glued, which I did.
Today there was a bit of discolored bleeding around the incision area. I started panicking and sent a picture of the area to the doctor to which he replied that it was normal and everything looked OK.

I am not taking any opioid pain killers. Just a couple of 200mg ibuprofen tablets is enough for the mild pain management.
I can walk around the house and can take care of my birds, no issue. Although sitting on a chair is uncomfortable due to the swollen sack.

I think all AMS implants have the Dacron covering, the “second wall”.

Yes, after further research I found out that structurally, LGX and CX are identical - 3 layers. The only difference is the middle layer that allows LGX to expand length+width while CX only by width.
Common logic states that expanding in one dimension is causing less tearing than in 2 dimensions but there is no objective data to back this claim.

Day 3 after the surgery.
The sack is swollen and bruised just like the penis.
Not much changed since yesterday. Still a bit of bleeding on one side of the incision although it is not like red blood but more of a diluted reddish liquid. Not sure for how long that will continue.
Pain is manageable, mostly is discomfort rather than pain, no pain medicine is needed.

Day 4 after the surgery.
The dick and nuts are still heavily bruised, almost black in some areas. Ironically, the penis coloration has patches of bruising so it looks almost like zebra.
In the morning there was no noticeable bleeding so I decided to go for a 1 mile walk before it gets crazy hot here in South Central Texas. By the time I got back, a few small spots of bleeding were detected. Although it is no longer of a reddish color but more of a light brown. After taking a shower and cooling down thise seemed to stop.
I noticed that on the one side of the incision the glue started to peel off. I do not think it will go off completely because the glue is mixed with stitches thus making them inseparable.

What surprised me the most so far is how quickly the body's energy gets drained. I am an athletic person and at my age of 54 can do at least 12 full chinups. But now I feel tired and sweaty even after walking stairs back and forth.

thanks for the report danny, this one is of interest to me as mine Lgx is 5 years and I know its a ticking time bomb between my legs Lol.

Day 5 after the surgery.
Today is the first day that I do not take antibiotics after finishing the full set prescribed by the doctor.
It freaks me out a bit because just before the surgery I had a chat with one colleague of mine who had a (different kind) of surgery and she started getting complications 10 days after. Which means it is still too early to conclude the results.
The minor brownish discharge is still coming out a bit. It seems to be correlated with the glue peeling - a new peeling spot creates new droplets of discharge.

Today I did not take a risk to go outside due to extreme heat, just walking stairs back and forth as an exercise.

Tomorrow I have to be back to work although I've got an authorization to work from home. What concerns me is that if I sit for more than 30 minutes, the amount of liquid discharge becomes detectable.

Also, I discovered that I was given a wrong implant brochure. The booklet was for AMS 700 with Tenacio pump while mine is the older MS model as per the label sticker. Not sure why this happened given that the two pumps have different protocol.

My surgeon didn’t want me to be doing anything close to what you are. One mile walk on day 4 post surgery is substantial activity for everything that has been traumatized during surgery.
I was instructed to keep my penis pointing at my belly button the first 3 weeks and wear compression shorts to keep everything stable.
My scrotum was swollen and I can’t imagine what it would have been like walking a mile.
Did your surgeon tell you to be patient and rest?
