I am 11 days out from my revision. All has been going well thus far. The pain/discomfort improved and the swelling has too over the last few days. It’s more intermittent. If I’m up and about a lot things may swell and discomfort increases, but I lay down and elevate and the swelling goes down. I haven’t been taking any prescription pain meds this week and since Thursday I have really only been taking ibuprofen to help reduce or prevent swelling. I have been trying to eat an anti-inflammatory diet to some extent and I do think that helps. Trying to limit the sodium and processed sugars and carbs, hydrating well, omega-3’s from lots of sushi, poke and avocados, antioxidants, a little ginger, turmeric, pepper, pineapple for bruising, almonds and other nuts, etc.
I have deflated at times after the first three days when I removed the bandages and drain. Dr. Clavell told me that was not a problem since there are no concerns about size since the space is already established and I know how to use it. He just said to pump it up every couple days though. I deflated so it was easier to be around people and go out, but have been inflating it at least 50% when no one’s around or i’m in the bedroom.
The recovery does seem faster so far. I’ve been out already, including going to dinner or lunch about 4-5 times. I have tried to avoid being on up and about or even sitting straight up for too long to keep the swelling down. I’ve been hard at work all week, but have done much of that from my bed with my legs and pelvis elevated and a towel lifting my nuts up. With laptop on my legs and cell phone beside me. Reservoir area seems to be healing well too. Hope things continue to improve at the same trajectory and I will be back in the office some next week and moving around a bit more.
The incision seems to be healing well too, I have never been able to keep the penis up so I have been using pouch underwear when I’m up and about or going out and I started putting a piece of sterile gauze between my penis and sack to avoid any rubbing or irritation. Although today when I was up for lunch I forgot the gauze and I just thought about it as I was writing this, so no irritation. I want to avoid sweat in that area too.
So really all has been good and the recovery is progressing well. Definitely easier so far than the original. Fingers crossed that continues. Can’t wait to get through the next three or four weeks so I can start get back to fucking.

Implanted 2/14/24 at age 50; revision 8/25/26 at 52 due to tubing fracture at pump; both 22cm Titans, no RTE's, classic pumps and implanted by Dr. Clavell. Years of worsening ed, tried everything, venous leak confirmed 2/2/24, surgery scheduled.

From 8/26
The revision was done yesterday. All went well from my perspective and Dr. Clavell also communicated that surgery went well. I haven’t talked with the doctor or seen surgical notes so all I know is he thought it went well. My surgery wasn’t until mid day. The surgical center said Clavell had five that day.
All went well before surgery with checkin and prep, but I didn’t like the Memorial Village Surgical center as much as HCA. The waiting room was way more chaotic and the bathroom out there was dirty. All fine once I went into the prep/recovery area. Really just little things, but just not as impressive as HCA. Once in prep… EKG done, IV setup, doc came by, anesthesia, etc., then they rolled me back to the OR. I woke up, peed in a bottle and they wheeled me out.
No problems so far. Only bad pain so far was peeing the first few times, because of the catheter used during surgery. Some soreness and swelling around the belly from reservoir removal and trying to get it placed better, but not bad. I am taking the gabapentin and ketorolac, but really the only reason I’m taking the ketorolac is because it’s good at reducing/preventing swelling from what I’ve read, which I had a big problem with last time. Also taking the two antibiotics for 7 days. I have been a bit out of it because of the anesthesia and find it hard to focus but that seems to be improving to as I have been able to write this post in a reasonable amount of time.
Congrats. Which HCA are you referring to? He does surgeries at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center and HCA North Cypress.
55 years. Using bimix 0.4 units. Works well but inconsistent and very inconvenient. Seriously considering an implant. 6.4 inches bone pressed length to tip, 5 inches girth base, 4.5 inches girth mid-shaft.

Re: Revision Recovery
The HCA facility where I got the original implant was in the Houston Medical Center. The place was sparkling clean looking, checkin was so easy, no stressors, their staff was amazing and everything went very well. The Memorial Hermann Memorial Villages center was fine, but just didn’t have the same sparkle, the checkin and waiting room was more stressful, crowded and noisy, and their staff was not quite as efficient and did not come across as polished as the HCA staff. All that said, everything went well and there were absolutely no problems with the Memorial Villages Surgical Center. It is just my observation one morning I was at each of the facilities. It could have also been timing. My first surgery was at 6:30am and this one was 10:30 or 11:00 so that may have changed the dynamics of the waiting room, checkin, pre/post op.
The Memorial Villages location would certainly be easier to get to for people not familiar with the busy med center or are generally not comfortable with city driving and parking issues. You could park right outside the door for free and walk right in. Also, easy in and out right off the freeway.

Re: Revision Recovery
It will be 3 weeks tomorrow and all continues to be going well. I have definitely been more active the last week, but still trying to take some timeouts during the day to lay down and put my feet up, use the heating pad, etc., to avoid swelling and hopefully encourage healing. I have actually been able to accomplish a lot of work from my bed the last few weeks.
I’d like to be doing some more walking and other outdoor activities for exercise, but it’s still so hot I’ve limited that. I am going to start doing more now that the incision has healed further.
I still have minor discomfort with no meds. I am trying to take ibuprofen prior to being active to help avoid swelling. Packing everything into tight underwear still brings some discomfort over time.
I pumped up beyond 50%, but below the max and my length got to 7” or slightly over that and girth was 5” - 5 1/8” with no engorgement really. I can see where people can get hung up on size though by looking at things right after surgery. The swelling really distorts the visual size, increasing the size of your sack and the size of the fat pad above certainly has a negative visual impact on size if you are unaware. Personally, I’m not concerned about size and think I could likely reach the same or close to what I had with the prior implant today if I pumped further and was engorged, but I don’t want to over do anything at this point.
As I said previously, it has definitely been easier this time around so far. Hope it continues. Can’t wait to get back to enjoying my bionic dick.
