Implant infection

Hehehe...I did, and he happened to be in Maryland. He did not believe the pics I showed him of my cock. I am/was on the thick side of things. Now, I am just anyone can take me in their mouth in one fell swoop, not just the head and an inch or so. He implanted me with a short malleable, and after that, went downhill.

So I had a revision in February, 5 weeks later I had an infection and had a salvage- took out old reinstalled another identical. 3 weeks later got infected and had an explant. Limp dick for 3 months which was suggested as a proper time to clear infection. Used VED 2-3 times a day the last 8 weeks. Just had new implant. Surgeon installed a 2cm less than my revised implant but same as the first one I had for 4 years. So he stated that I had done a great job with the VED and measured me distal the same length as with the revised 2cm longer one. Said the proximal is where I lost the 2cm due to scar tissue build up. Still mummy wrapped so time will tell. Anxiously wondering what I will have when it’s all said and done.

Nurse told me for every operation, you lose 1/4". I know I lost more than that.

I'm pretty sure that I read on this forum that one of the best, if not "the" best, of the US implanters mentioned to more than one of his post-ops that one should be gaining a bit of length with every revision, no matter what type of implant you'd get.

Afga13, man, travel if need be but make sure that your implanter is one of the high volume surgeons frequently mentioned on this forum. Clavell, Hakky, Perito, Eid, Kramer, Levine, Taj, Patel or Karpman maybe if you're on the West Coast. Otherwise you really are taking your dick in your own hands, pun intended but figuratively speaking in this case.

I had an infection and had a Malleable for a period of time. Fortunately, surgeon has very aggressive about vacuum with the malleable to try to maintain as much size as possible before went back in and placed a new inflatable. I appreciate everything that was done, because i blame myself for getting the original inflatable infected after getting fat graft injections for girth in Mexico which was a terrible idea. Just so thankful for Dr. Patel

How many weeks after malleable was put in did you do VED as per Dr suggestion.
On some other posts on the forum i have heard that VED is a big no no if you have Malleable.
And for how many months you had malleable before you went for inflatable again?

I was told to wait 6-8 weeks or so after the malleable was placed. The reasoning by Dr. patel was that the malleable is usually slightly undersized compared to fully inflated IPP, therefore getting the malleable to continue to get tips into middle of the glans is important otherwise it will scar and capsule over. His protocol was only for 5-10 minutes (cycles of creating gentle pressure, hold for 20 seconds, and then release and keep doing over and over again). I would not has to strap on the vacuum and leave it on for hours, that could be problem. For me, it helped save my size after the infection. I know not everyone is so lucky as i've read guys loosing 2-4 cm after bad infections and new implant later.
