My initial surgery was restrictive too.
Now I am under the revision/replacement which by its nature is less traumatic because the existing cavities are reused.
Even for taking showers, my original surgery restricted me from taking any for a couple if weeks; the protocol was gentle wiping.
For the revision my restriction is 2 weeks of no exercise but I was allowed to take showers 24 hours after the surgery.
My sack is still badly swollen but not as bad as a few days ago.
My surgeon deflated the implant to 20% the day after the surgery. The same justification that the tissue has already been stretched from the previous implant, no need to add any stress.
I asked the doctor about how my dick should be pointed - up or down to what he replied that the only criteria is the comfort.
My surgeon, Dr. Kansas, has more than a thousand surgeries done so must have learned the pattern of what works the best for which circumstances. I guess that revision surgeries are more forgiving than the original one.
However, for the next few days I will skip going for a walk outside due to excessive heat. I do not want to take any risk of sweating.

Day 6 after the surgery.
Today was my first back to work day. It was a bit challenging due to a restricted ability to sit. I can sit at the tip of a chair so that my nuts are free hanging but over time it makes butts sore.
Today was the first day when I did not detect any discharges. The penis started changing its color from black to dark purple.
Swelling has reduced to a degree that I was able to reach and "explore" the pump. What surprised me was the fact that in my original implant the deflation button was pointing backwards while in the assembly it points forward. However, manufacturer manual does not specify which direction the button should be pointed to as ling as a patient can easily reach it. I sent a question to my surgeon anyway.
Apparently, I was given a wrong brochure in my discharge package. I've got the one for Tenacio pump model while mine is an older MS. I have no preference though. I believe the two operate slightly differently. With MS one must press and hold the button for a few seconds while with Tenacio it is just one short press.
Reflecting on my original implant, I think I contributed to its slightly premature failure. The way I was deflating it was that I would hold the deflation button pressed while aggressively sneezing the cylinders. Instead I should have let them deflate naturally till the deflation stops then gently squeeze the cylinders. If I followed that mode likely I would have gotten a few more years of service.

One week after the surgery.
Still swollen, still deeply uncomfortable when trying to seat normally in a chair. Spikes from the stitches do no add to the comfort level either.
Today I was able to hold the pump with one hand and try to squeeze with another. I clearly could hear/feel the click sound. Surprisingly there was virtually no pain from squeezing. I remember my original implant inflating sessions at the doctor's office. Before a session I would take pain killers yet it was as painful as he'll so that I would get sweaty in a few minutes.
The new pump was so noticeably stiffer than the old one. For now I still can bend beer caps with my left hand so I hope that will be enough for pumping. I will keep the implant inflated at about 25%. The challenge is that I used to have muscle memory for my old pump while the new one is located differently so I would need some practice before getting used to.
My doctor replied to my question about the fact that the new pump has the deflation button facing forward while the old one was facing backwards. Just as I thought, the answer was that it didn't matter as as long as I can comfortably reach the button, which I can.
