Since it sounds like you have the cash, go to Turkey, I have read that there are some very good surgeons there, and since you don't have to get back to a job you can hang out there for awhile and make sure you heal properly.

Turkey is the least place any man in their rightful mind should go to for an implant. Its a crap shoot, where the odds of success of a surgery are secondary to that of your actual life. The horror stories abound the net. Plus, I dont want to generalize but its common knowledge that many Turkish people really dont like Europeans/caucasians

There are good penile implanters in Brazil, in Egypt, and as good Mr. wilsonmill just mentioned Turkey. I also heard that there are some really good penile implanters in India, which should sound believable to most Americans since many local doctors in the US come from India. In short, if you have cash but still trying to save money that's the direction you should be looking at.

Or actually you may also consider to take the opportunity and participate in Rigicon Infla10 clinical trials in the US which is done by most of our best implanters. They've been trumping the thing up too. One even says that Infla10 AX is the best implant he ever placed. There is also Infla10 X.
Rigicon would at least pay for the device itself so it wouldn't be as much $ as if you were to go with something that is already FDA approved.

You got to move fast on this though before the trial closes. Get in touch with Tariq Hakky, Jonathan Clavell, Paul Perito or Laurence Levine. Any one of them are top notch. Whoever is closest to you would do.

I wouldn't go to any 3rd world country for an implant. USA, Canada, Germany, UK are OK. Anything else is a mostly a gamble. If I were to choose a little experience doctor in the US or an experienced doctor in Turkey, I would go with the US one.

The key factor is the cost of the implant itself. AMS is about 10K. And that does not mean that other countries (e.g. India) get it cheaper. Still the same 10K. The only difference is the doctor and facility fees. But then comes the incentive factor. In 3rd world countries the main motivation is to get the money wire transfer. The moment it is done, the interest to patient goes downhill. In first world countries there at least some protection in a form of malpractice law suits. In other parts of the world, if a doctor neglected basic precautions you are on your own.

I'd like to step in for Turkey here. I spent few months in Turkey and I found Turks to be largely "suspiciously" European/caucasian looking Moreover Turks were incredibly warm and friendly and helpful to foreigners, including in heavily tourist areas, where locals the world over have a tendency to be more grumpy about the 'stupid tourists'.

Turkey is not a third world country by any means. It's a place rather comparable to Italy, Greece (I'm gonna get killed for that comparrison now ), and other southern European countries in both appearance and standard of living. Crime is rather marginal. Compared to the States for sure. I read about botched penile implantations in Turkey. I also read a lot about too many botched penile implantations in the US, in the UK, in Australia, etc. Getting an implant is a risk man.

Now, if you were to go to Egypt I'd be more careful there, although I have heard some really good things about Dr. Shaeer. As for Turkey I found it to be safe and easy.

Be very careful about putting too much stake into what you read on internet forums. People who write on forums would often be the few with negative experiences which could happen anywhere.

Even here on franktalk you might get an impression that penile implants malfunction for one reason or the other all the time. This is just not true. It's just that 99.9% of those for whom penile implants work without a glitch don't write about it, don't participate on forums, and just go about their lives.

The other thing, you sound pretty embittered for one or the other. I'm sure that being unemployed and uninsured contributes to it. This is not the state of mind to make decisions in imho. Try to ensure that spending your savings on the implant actually make sense for you and isn't part of some desperate emotional outburst.

The implant all it itself wouldn't ensure your popularity with women. In fact, I sometimes wonder if getting an implant and subsequently becoming more confident and assertive with women wouldn't get me into a quick trouble, especially here in the US

Are you looking for any specific country or any specific budget? would be good if you give us a little more information.

The advise i can give you is: Whatever you think you are going to spend in the surgery, budget double or triple that. If things go wrong, you will need to spend a lot of time and money to fix it. And warranty doesnt cover all scenarios unfortunately.

There are many cases of people here having multiple surgeries because the first one went wrong.

Regarding budget friendly doctors.

Take a look at Beley in europe (around $10k), you can also look into Turkey, but avoid Karaman.
Another option, hakky is going on a trip to turkey in the next couple weeks and he will charge turkish prices while he is there, if you are interested.
If you want to go the lowest possible budget you can go in Egypt for as low as 6-7k if i remember correctly. But for a western person going to egypt may be a bit of a culture shock.

whatever you do, do your research and do not rush any decision. This is a permanent thing and there's no way back when you do it.

If you are uninsured and unemployed but considering a penile implant, you must approach this with eyes wide open.

Before moving forward, you should have enough savings set aside to cover the cost of three potential surgeries.

This isn't to be alarmist, but to ensure you are prepared for a worst-case scenario:
1. Surgery 1: Initial implantation.
2. Surgery 2: Removal/Salvage due to a potential complication like an infection.
3. Surgery 3: Replacement with a new implant.

I highly recommend conducting your own research, specifically, watching the YouTube MTP series by Dr. Paul Perito to get a solid understanding. Don't be discouraged by anecdotal accounts of botched procedures in this forum. If you look at the research, roughly 50% of implants last over 20+ years, and the combined satisfaction rate is 99.99%.

Have a solid Plan B and Plan C, even if you may not need one. Travel far and wide and use a high volume dedicated implanter.

I believe in the US you can get an implant in the $20,000 to $25,000 range when paying cash. Insurance can pay from $70K to $125K, which to me personally represents pure corruption and why US healthcare is so outrageously expensive compared to the rest of the planet.

I considered Turkey but went to France instead and I have not regret a second. A couple of 1000 euros more but still the half of what the US doctors charge.
