Auto inflation?

Postby Native » Wed Oct 22, 2014 6:31 pm

I was implanted with a titan five months back. All is well and it works great but I think I have some auto inflation going on. Within three minutes of fully deflating it goes back to how it would be after eight pumps or so.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so what causes it? Is it something that is correctable?
Thanks!

Im on day 9 - AMS 700 MS CX.

I think I have the auto inflation problem.
I would say it's inflating to 40% after deflating completely.
I had mine deflated by the doc before leaving and it got inflated after 2 hours.
I deflated again.
Unfortunately it got inflated again.

Am I doing it right?

Is this something to be worried of?

My Titan has done this ever since it was implanted in 2008. I asked Dr. Kramer and he explained that this is normal: the larger portion of the cylinders is inside the body, and it is impossible to return all of the fluid to the reservoir when you deflate. The fluid that remains in the cylinders then migrates and reinflates you a bit. I'd prefer to be able to deflate more completely, but I've gotten used to it and it's no longer a concern.

In prior posts others have said that, when they are done deflating, they give one pump. This closes the open valve so that saline doesn't flow down from the reservoir by gravity. The physics of hydrolics.

I have had an AMS LGX for almost one and one half years. Shortly after surgery, I had some autoinflation. Wearing stretchy briefs helped control this and over several months, the phenomenon stopped.

I am sixty-six years of age and dealing with gradually worsening ED for twenty years. At sixty-three I wanted something that worked reliably. I got an AMS 700 LGX implant in 6/25/13. I am entirely pleased with the outcome. My surgeon was Dr. Karpman.
