I would like to answer with a question: what use do you have for a 20cm+ limb dick?
Btw 4 inches are enough to satisfy a woman, when it’s hard and you know what to do with it.

My old limp dick did me no good. I had no idea what the end result after an implant would be, but a working one was way better even if it was shorter. I did lose about an inch, but also, I never did any cycling the first few months. (didn't know, wasn't told)

I would, but I didn’t have to. I lost no length and am essentially the same girth. (Big. Actually 1/4” thinner but it looks thicker because it’s a bit more oval than round now.)
Works great. Looks great. Feels great.

Absolutely.
one-inch hard-working penis is a million times better than 8 inches limp penis.

Exactly the same experience for me as well. In fact, I’m longer now than I was before surgery, and am back very close to my maximum size in my 20s before decades of ED and shrinkage.
I was at 8.5” pre-op, and to keep my expectations conservative I told myself that I’d be happy with 7.5” after surgery and be very happy with 8”. Immediately after surgery I was 8” and thrilled. But diligent and aggressive cycling quickly (3 months) returned me to 8.5” as I healed. Now at a year I have reached 8.9”, which is within margin of error of my maximum length of 9.1” in my youth. I did lose a slight amount of girth, but not enough to worry about.
And yes, I understand I am quite large and therefore can “afford” to lose more and still have an excellent result. But I would say each patient needs to decide how much length they are willing to accept as a good result, *before* their surgery. They should also discuss this expectation with their surgeon, and if he/she can’t be confident of getting to that goal, then a decision must be made.
This is why the choice of surgeon is so critical. The high volume names that come up often on this forum have great histories of hitting pre-op length and girth after the procedure. A doctor that does 5-10 implants a year just doesn’t get the repetitions in to achieve reliably excellent results, and then it essentially becomes a roll of the dice.
Also as others have said, a footlong softie isn’t really doing anybody any good.

I agree with this and the other guys, it's much better to have a working erect penis than obsess about size.
But K9 I also wouldn't think you've reached your best possible results just yet. You're only a month or so in and it can take a year or more to see that.
I always believed I was on the smaller size. In reality I'm actually statistically above average but not huge.
Fortunately I was able to regain my pre op size plus a modest few mm more, probably reflecting my youth.
I put that down to VED therapy for a long time post prostatectomy when ED hit me like a ton of bricks, then aggressively before being implanted.
Also I made sure my doc knew getting my size back was important to me, so he sized me as aggressively as it was safe to do so.
The rest was time, healing and cycling to get the final outcome by around 9 months.
72, married, Sydney Oz. PC/nerve sparing RRP Mar 2022 caused 100% total ED. Tried pills, Trimix inj, focal shockwave, VED. All failed. Implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal. Back to 6.5" BPEL @ 9m. Loving it.

I've never hit the 8" mark, but I've been blessed with more than average since I was 12 years old, and I've either been accused of or admired for having Big Dick Energy (I believe it's a real thing.) I have a lot of ego and identity in my size because it's always gotten me attention (hell, it was half the reason my husband decided to go on our first date after a mutual friend mentioned it.) When someone on Reddit said "Dude, you can afford to lose an inch!" I thought, yeah, I could. No thank you, I'd rather not! But...
All that being said, I went into this surgery with my fingers crossed that I'd come out with close to what I had, but also aware that I might not. The surgeon was extremely aware of the outcome I wanted and made sure he did all he could to hit the mark. My implant is only a week old today, so t's way too early to know. But at this point in my journey, I don't care. I get what I get and I'll be ecstatic just to be able to use it again.

Re: WOULD YOU TRADE SIZE LOSS FOR WORKING PENIS ?
Good afternoon:
First off, why are you "yelling" at us with the all caps?
You are just at one month from your procedure. With cycling and the Perito Exercises, you will most likely not only gain your lost length, but could actually get more length/girth.
I was around 6.75 inches length with VED (which is not really real, anyway) and 5" girth prior to my surgery. After my surgery almost a year ago, I was pretty depressed as I was hovering somewhere around 4" in length. I received a lot of encouragement and great advice from this Board. I eventually got back to 6" and 6" in girth at the base.
Unfortunately, I needed a revision after only eight months. However, due to the previous work I had put in with cycling and Perito Exercises, I got my size back immediately and this implant gets me harder with much less pumping. I think it looks great flaccid as well. Give it some time. You can have the best of both worlds.
