I do have two incisions instead of the one that many of you have. That is because of two previous hernia surgeries. My Urologist had to get a little creative when implanting the reservoir. He did not want to get into the mesh that was used in the hernia repairs many years ago. That incision is stapled together and the staples pull a little. I get those out Friday.
Yesterday and this morning I spent some time in a hot bath working the pump in my scrotum. I was able to find it ok but was not able to locate the discharge button. The pump is located at the very bottom of my scrotum. It is however on the far left and seems to be having a wrestling match with one of the long time residences there. (one of the amigos)
I didn't try to activate it yet. I see my Dr. Friday to have the staples removed from my one incision. I thought at one week it was a little soon.Today was the first time I went out for any length of time except for one brief walk up to the mail box. Also the first time I drove since last Tuesday. I walked around the grocery store with my wife and that all went well although I was a little tired when I got home.
If any of you lurkers are on the fence about having this done. Have no fear. I am 77 years old and handled it very well.
