Well that bruising does look a bit painful. But the end results will surely make up for it!

9 Days after surgery
Time for some updates. Today is Saturday, 3-26-2011. Surgery was Thursday March 17th, 9 days ago. I returned to work on Tuesday. I had the ability to take my ice bag with me and use it frequently until Friday. Swelling would get worse during the day, then reduce overnight. Doc bruised my left testicle while trying to get me deflated the day after surgery. I was finally able to run warm water over me and loosen up the scrotum, at least the right side, until I could wrap around the pump and pull it down and to the right, it was right behind the left testicle which is quite sore and swollen. I did get my finger on the button and was able to deflate it some, though not totally. That was Thursday night. Doc wanted to see me Friday morning, he was concerned about the inflation issue. He checked me, tried to deflate and commented about the inability to grab the pump (I'd been telling him that all along). Bottom line, he said I was nearly deflated, he wasn't worried about that any more. Everything looked good except the left testicle. Told me to keep icing, and to do the warm water thing (I don't have a tub, so sit in the shower and gently run warm water over it), and keep tugging at the pump and trying to deflate. I get to see him next on the Wednesday before Easter.
Friday I was not able to ice at work. I was hurting by the end of the day. Other issues/comments I have:
Franklin compression shorts are really uncomfortable. Seams in the pouch area irritate the scrotum. I've been sleeping nude and using "bag balm" (your farm supply store, not intended for this bag) at night to sooth and allow the scrotum to loosen up.
Swelling above and to the sides of the penis. Check some of my pictures, you will see it. Almost impossible to sit upright when this starts.
The most comfortable underwear I've found so far are some pouch style briefs. I bought these mail order several years ago, supposedly designed by a woman to properly hold a man, or something like that. They hold my scrotum/testicles up and pull everything forward, keeping things from getting squeezed while walking and getting in and out of chairs. Someone mentioned the Jockey H front pouch briefs, I'm going to see if I can find some or something similar.
More pics in my next post.

Dave, I tried the frankin compression shorts too and did not find them comfortable and ended uip using the Jockey brand pouch with H closure. I bought my online at th Jockey website. I still use them and have switched over. I am now 11 weeks from the surgery and find I need the "pouch" as regular briefs don't have the room I need. I have two pumps (IPP and AUS)and I guess that was created a little of a space issue. You still have a lot of swelling so nothing is going to make a huge difference now but the pouch breifs are worth a try. "Hang" in there.

Here are some pictures of my current status. The left testicle is still very swollen and is making access to the pump difficult. The state of inflation you see here was just accomplished a few hours before after soaking in the shower to loosen the scrotum up, and it is still difficult to grasp the pump and tell if I have the button or not. Abdominal wall still sore, particularly on the right side because of the reservoir. Testicles really aren't sore. Sitting still somewhat uncomfortable if I sit upright.

Looks like you are doing well swelling wise and glad to hear you are making a good recovery. For me, two week mark was the real turning point.
