Confirmed Coloplast "malfunction"

Postby KMeister » Sat Jan 31, 2015 1:41 am

I stumbled on these articles stating a research finding that the Coloplast Titan OTR can get stuck in deflate, so that the patient cannot inflate the implant. A study shows this occurs about 8% of the time. That's one in 12.

It's one reason my uro decided not to choose a Coloplast OTR for me. Anyone ever experience this issue?

According to the article ,PDF ,it only takes a hard squeeze to correct the problem.
Implanted with colorplast Titan 3 years ago. Davinci radical prostatectomy 6 months ago. Very happy with the outcome of both procedures.
Dr Jonas Benson. Uropartners, Wheaton, IL.
