Smart man. I know we sounded like a bunch of buzz killers, but better to avoid unneeded pain and possible infection.

Well Nick, evidently you got the message that you couldn't do both. The implant surgery is very uncomfortable for weeks afterwards. I'm now 7 weeks out and finally starting to feel somewhat comfortable with all the surgical disruptions. I'd be OK traveling now, but not much sooner. I think you made a good call to not try to do both. But honestly, if I were you, I would have postponed the surgery for a few weeks and done the celeb thing in NY. Let us know how it all works out for you. Good luck!

Everyone is different. My surgery was infrapubic, and was done recently (12/18/14). Around Day 4 I was still very sore, sitting on hard chairs or surfaces will be uncomfortable. But it is manageable with pain meds. The worst for me was walking for extended periods of time. Really felt achy afterwards. But for me it was not acutely painful, just sore and achy.

I'd consider what activities you'll be doing. Lots of sitting, bring a small cushion in case the chairs are not yielding. Lots of walking or standing will not be fun for you at this point.

NYC? Famous celebrity?

I'd have gone. :)

Best of luck!

So Nick, Looking back now, do you think you could have gone to this party 4 days after your surgery?
The reason I ask this is that I'll need to drive myself back home at day 4. It'll be a 80 miles trip.

80 mile trip? That's totally doable, but keep in mind I had mine done infra pubicly. I can't comment on scrotal but I imagine that to be much more painful.

Yes, mine will be done via infrapubic too.

Then i say go for it! The pain wasn't that bad day 4. In fact i drove about 80 miles the day after surgery and there are even other guys on this board that have driven 5 hours home the day after surgery. If anything, take some mild pain killer and maybe make a few stops if you have to. Good luck!
