Funny,
you should definitely go see Dr. Kramer. He's one of the top implant surgeons in the world and many guys here on FrankTalk have said great things about him.
Make sure you raise all your concerns with him and have all your questions answered.
I've been in the exact same boat as you are in. I have a great life but because of this issue my social life was dead: all my friends had wives , girl friends and I was always by myself. My friends kept on asking me: why don't you have a girlfriend; I kept saying that I' was happily playing the field (Bullshit). it was better to lie than tell them about such a personal issue.

Take your time to make any decision.. It took me months to decide for the implant. I searched a lot on the internet about implants and I've read almost all the pages of this Forum on the implant section.
I knew all the risks involved and what to expect during my recovery.

It's been only two months since surgery and despite the drawbacks I mentioned earlier I don't regret it.
Based on other experiences, the majority of the issues I currently have (delayed ejaculation, pain when pumped to max, etc) should get better with time.
I'm still learning how to use my new toy and my body is still healing and getting used to it.
Some guys say it took them 6 months to get used to their implants.

I know what you are feeling.. ED sucks!! but my advice to you is: take your time, search a lot on the internet and schedule an appointment with a great doctor like Dr. Kramer.

We are close to put this issue behind us.
Wish you all the best with your decision to go for the implant or any other treatment.

Thanks for your feedback Avlis26 -

It's great to hear from similar young folks as they go through this experience. I'm hoping that yourself and other members (including those who posted on this thread) will remain engaged with FrankTalk.org about their experience - I would be very interested to hear more updates from you guys as the months continue -

wishing you a healthy/speedy recovery and an ability to put this problem behind you (i.e., having a healthy longstanding relationship and family should that be what you desire)

And chiming in as an old guy, let me assure you that putting it off doesn't make things better. In our case, ED ended our sex life. After pills stopped working, I had no luck with injections. As a last resort I got the implant, but it was too late. The implant did not restore our sex life - in fact we never used it once. If I'd gotten it when I needed it instead of dithering around about the decision for years, we could have had additional years of intimacy. Bottom line - if you need an implant, get it. ED doesn't get better with time.
Dave, 80, Maryland - Implant (Titan) 2008 by Dr. Andrew Kramer (failed Sept 2020) - never used due to a stroke that, among other things, ended my sex life.
Life is not the way it's supposed to be, it's the way it is.

Thank you for your advice dg_moore -

I'm really scared about having the implant done.

The state of my erections/sex life is poor and not really manageable. I have hardly any sex drive or flood flow to my penis on a day to day basis and some hard lumps/hard veins all over the place it seems.

That said I am able maintain erections and have sex (typically with pills) and 'finish', though my conditions is worsening (see my initial first post for details on the condition I face).

In light of the above (the ability to have erections/sex from time to time if in a relationship) going forward with the implant is quite tough I feel.

Dg_moore, what you say gets right to the root cause of my frustation/fear. If I could stabilize my condition as is and it would not deteriorate further (I would know pills will keep working, etc.) I would almost certainly not be considering an implant; however, it seems to be getting worse.

I worry about fertility/ability to ejaculate as well subsequent to life with an implant. Also how the implant will feel and act not 3 years but 10, 15 and 20+ from now.

I'm quite depressed and unsure what to do. Advice is appreciated.

funny9097, if you have hard knots up and down your wanker I have a suggestion for you. I had the same issue years ago. Urologist said there is no treatment. I was visiting with a friend in Costa Rica that told me he had the same issue and a doc in C.R. told him how to cure it. Said it got rid of his knots in a 3-4 months. i ordered it from Wonder Labs here. It is progenelone. They sell it as DHEA and progenelone. i took 4 capsules 2x daily for about 4 months and the knots went away. they were hard as a rock and a little smaller than a pencil eraser but felt round. I still take 2 a day to keep them from coming back. I am no doctor, this is just my experience and the experience of a friend. Hope this helps. Life is short. Each day that goes by makes it shorter. Be well. do what you must. d
