Re: Here Goes
Has anyone else experienced a burning sensation where the reservoir was placed in the abdomen?

Re: Here Goes
You are healing very quickly, not bruised at all. You're much larger flaccid right now. Seems you're on the right track, and you're healing faster than me.
If it's a possibility for you, a suggest losing a bit of weight. It seems like a lot of your fat went into the fat pad,
and there's plenty of penis buried underneath it.
Don't want to intrude nor tell you what to do, I just think that it will further enhance the implant

You're right pockie, I let my self-esteem go when I lost the ability to be a functional man. I know there are those who don't believe you need an erection to be a man but for me it's true. This is given me the motivation to gain back my self-esteem and get a handle on my weight and life again !

Great job,
hardernharder I had my IPP preformed by Dr Morey in Dallas TX at the UT Southwestern. It was a day surgery, they had me on the table 7:00 and out the door before 11:00 AM. So far so good, just the occasional burning sensation where the reservoir was placed.

Re: Here Goes
Today there is a little bruising, and you can see the puncture holes where they pulled the tubes up threw to the glands.

Yep, felt like hot rod from scrotum up into left pad area. Took 2wks before I could set on john without issues. I was told due to off site placement of res due to tummy. Just get a twing every now and then (2 1/2 wks out). I know I can't sit to pee yet, some swelling or pressure in pubes area still restrictng flow. Think the little fella still upset with the new hardware still.
Won't have to worry about him hiding from the cold anymore.
Still have some dull ache deep in around cylinder area. Nothing severe, just darn uncomfy. Hope this goes away soon. If it does I'll feel better when its time to start pumping in ernest. Otherwise might be very irritating.

Thanks saytar, was just a little worried about infection. I am off the pain killers now and just using Tylenol as needed.

Re: Here Goes
I was unlucky. My doctor, who performs 50 implants a year, has had only 2 infections which required removal of the device. That happened to me on Thursday, and, for her, it was unusual because it was eight weeks into what seemed a normal recovery.
As others have mentioned on this site when they had the inflatable removed as was done to me, I had a semi-rigid one-piece implant replacing the the three-piece inflatable, with the reservoir and pump removed. Just got out of the hospital yesterday after being pumped full of antibiotics for 72 hours. My doctor hopes the semi-rigid will be fine, but it's conceivable that it, too, will become infected and have to be removed.
I have the option in six months to try again with an inflatable. Or I can live with the semi-rigid (which most of the rest of the world -- non-U.S -- uses, I discovered). But I'm not even sure how this will turn out for an improved sex life (or not) so I'm certainly not committing to going through this for third time. I don't even want to examine what's left until I'm in less discomfort.
Right now, I'm feeling depressed, frustrated, and pretty damn unlucky (compared to my doc's experiences and what I've read here). So, yes, my friends, it can all go bad when you least expect it, but the good news is you're extremely unlikely to be as unlucky as me! That's my fervent hope for everyone.
