BillB603. Thanks for your feedback. I also feel the dog ear bends. When you say you milked it up, do you mean pulling the tip up towards the gland?
How far away was the top if the tip in reference to the position of the right tip? I feel mine is about 1 inch away.
I am very frustrated with this issue as it causes a lot of pain when pumping. I have spent hours trying different things to get it to go into the gland but it won't and I wonder what damage I am doing to the surrounding tissue.

I pulled left cylinder out toward glans gently to try to straighten out the dog ear. Moving penis around every few pumps also helped to get tip to move out. My left tip was about half inch shorter than right. Left cylinder also always filled slower and follow up doc said occasionally one of the tubes to cylinder from pump will get a kink and fill slower. Mine is still slower but improving week by week.
66 year old with ED intermittently for years and consistently for the 2 years before implant. Tried everything. AMS CX 21cm+1 cm RTEs Dr Kramer 4/29/2015.
Revision 5/3/2021 AMS CX 700 21cm+2 cm RTEs.

So my major concern still exist. Although I have made some improvements. After my second deflate cycle I was convinced the tip of my left cylinder was moved 2 inches away from my gland to the back side of my penis. THE CYLINDER WAS FOLDEED OVER AND POINTING SOUTH. I believed this so much that I deflated and started pushing down on the two creases closest to the gland while pushing up on what I thought was the tip. It worked and now 80% of the pain I felt when pumping up has disappeared. After this, the tip WAS felt in the gland like it should.
I changed the way It deflate, no longer starting at the Gland and squeeze my way down the shaft. I grab mid shaft and that's it.
Problem is the tip feels inverted again although this time its close to the gland. I can still pump without too much discomfort but I have 3 hard points on the left cylinder and the hardest point(tip) is again the below the other two creases. This all may sound crazy but I know what I feel and I know that when I had the tip two inches away and pushed it up, I know I was pushing the tip up in the right direction. By the time I saw my doctor, I already did the major flip of the tip. He said it would be extremely rare for this flip to happen. He thinks the 3 hard points I feel now are all creases and I just need to continue to cycle.
The left side just below my gland is distended whether I'm pumped up or deflated. I'm almost ready to try another flip on my own again. Any thoughts?

I know exactly what you're talking about,Tom Jones, because I experienced much of the same thing with the left cylinder after my first implant back in 1995. The tip was about two inches from where it was supposed to be and the deflated tube was hanging down. Obviously, it scared the crap out of me. I quickly went into the restroom and slowly inflated, taking special care to move everything to the proper position. I contacted my doctor who said he'd never heard of this happening. Up to that time I had totally deflated, but haven't since then and the problem has never recurred. Because of that happening with me and now you, although yours is more involved, I suggest nobody with an implant totally deflate.
I'm 75 and got an AMS Ultrex in 1995. Had it replaced in 1999. Got a new AMS 700 LGX in 2013.

My left cylinder is also folding when fully deflated, so the penis looks bent. 4 or 5 pumps are sufficient for the fold to disappear.

I talked to my surgeon and he said this is normal and not a reason for concern as long as the there is no bending when fully inflated.

When fully inflated, my penis is perfectly straight and does not bend.

JerGezer thanks for the sharing your story. I am concerned that this flip has now occurred a few times. The last time I was careful not to get near the gland when deflating and it still happened wvwn though I only deflated to 30-50%. .
Pockie are you saying your cylinder tip gets inverted (changes direction) or just develops folds (wrinkles) when deflated?

Hey Tom,

My left cylinder (not the cylinder tip) folds in the area near the middle of the glans when deflated. This is not causing any issues when inflated.

So I left messages Thursday afternoon, Friday morning and Friday afternoon with my surgeon but never heard back. I guess he doesn't DO complications. So I hope I can get feedback here. I was hoping to find out from the doctor if I manipulated around the cylinder to get the tip up, could I do permanent damage to my natural tissue. I had Peyronies and don't want to constantly aggravate my penis and cause more scarring.
After not hearing back from my doctor I decided to try again to get the tip pointing north. It took about an hour of manipulation but I got it. I have one major crease now where the tip was bent over. It is painful but goes away when fully pumped. I'm afraid to deflate too much for fear the tip will move downwards for the third time.
I'm staying at 70% pumped hoping to minimize the crease and allow the tip to stay settled by the gland.
Do you think this is dangerous to stay this pumped up for too long?
Do you think my manipulation of the cylinder was damaging to natural tissue?
Thank you

This is a matter to discuss with your doctor. Find out his fax number and FAX him a strongly worded message stating you need to speak to him right away. People often respond when a message is put in writing. Or better yet, go to his office and pay him a visit. Who is this doctor who doesn't return your phone calls?

Thanks KMeister
I think I would have written his name but I am afraid of any legal backlash. I've now flipped the tip up twice using only my own belief I was doing the right thing. I felt the cylinder and I felt where it folded over and I felt the tip below the fold. I don't think my doctor ever believed me. He told me he's never heard of this ever happening and that I would be a case study if this flip actually did occur. But I can report that by taking "matters into my own hands", and moving the tip into the gland, the tip now remains where it should be, at the same position as the right tip has always been. (Although I'm still scared to deflate below 50%)
I will try for the 4th time to get a call back. Maybe I will tell his staff to have him read this post first before calling.
