18 hours to go
Re: 18 hours to go
I am surprised to be home. The Doctor encouraged me to head home about four hours after surgery after I thought I was staying overnight. At this point twelve hours out pain is manageable. The staff at the hospital here in Woodbury, MN were great, caring and professional. I guess I will just have to see how much swelling in the next few days. With icing the area minimal so far. Thanks everyone for the support, good wishes and prayers.

Congratulations and welcome to 'bionic-ism' - take it easy - keep the ice packs handy - and the extra strength tylenol - and let us know how things go.

Leek65, will you be making a report following your surgery Monday three days ago?

I feel much better than I did this morning. Laying down was OK but walking or sitting were very uncomfortable. Add constipation and I was a little discouraged. However the swelling seems to have stabilized especially after icing the scrotum. The constipation seems to have resolved as I cut back on the pain meds. I was able to sit in my recliner and watch a movie tonight with minimal pain. What I can confirm guys is loss of length. I got the AMS 700 and I can see it will be a stretch to get 4.5". Thank God I have an understanding wife who will be satisfied with whatever I have. I have zero regrets and hope I continue to make progress. I see doctor on the 29th.

Based on what others have posted I think you're probably jumping the gun on the whole length thing - especially with the AMS700 installed. . . as swelling goes down more and you are eventually able to cycle on a regular basis. .. I'd be willing to bet you'll get some back. Glad you seem to be healing well. . . of course keep us up-to-date on your progress.

Re: 18 hours to go
One other interesting thing. When I went into the hospital for the procedure Monday I weighed 8 pounds less than I did when I got on the scale for the first time post-op yesterday morning. I was shocked but should not have been. The constipation and fluid buildup must account for most of it because I have not overeaten. This morning with the swelling going down and the constipation seemingly over I dropped 4 pounds from yesterday! What a relief that is. I had managed to lose 19 pounds in preparation for the surgery and want to keep going down not back up.
