Two days out
Two days out
Two days ago I had my AMS 700 lgx put in. I was all worried that the pain would unbearable. The worst of my pain was from the drain the doctor put in my lower abdomen. It must have been on a nerve or something. Was a constant burn. Doctor pulled it out 24 hours after surgery (and the catheter). So today, day two, my lower abdomen is sore from pushing the resivior in. The insion is not sore (it is under my penise). My scrotum is sore from being stretched and adjusting to the pump. Basically, I am moving around well. Just taking it easy for a few days.

Dr. Kennelly with McKay urology, Charlotte NC. Getting around well. Been outside and walked around. Doing much better than I thought I would be. Started breaking my pain pills in half......
Re: Two days out
Day three. Taking half of the pain meds. Slept all night last night. My wife took me shopping for some pants that are a little looser.
I did well on the trip. The pain is still located in my lower abdomen and the bottom of my scrotum where the pump is. The swelling has gone down some. The insion is itching - healing I guess - it does look better. The entire area is somewhat tender but not unmanageable. Sitting to use the bathroom is a challenge for me. I can't sit with my "junk" down in the toilet. So I sit forward with my scrotum resting on the seat, padded with clean tissue, and my penis aimed into a jar. That way the solids go in the toilet and the liquid goes in the jar. A man does what a man needs to do. Let me know if this helps you.
