I currently have my sights set on getting implanted by Martin Dineen in Florida - I have the money to self-pay, will stay over there for about 5 weeks to make sure I have access to care staff as and when they are needed.
The main issue I need to get advice on is how to foot the cost of medical bills if there is an infection which requires Regis vitalisation - I know some implants come with a 'warranty' so to speak and some surgeons like Dr.Eid will not re-charge you for a salvage op (but you will still pay hospital fees) - I am wondering whether travel insurance could foot the cost of a salvage operation if the contract classified the infection as an 'injury' or some such?
I will definitely speak to a travel insurer about this but just wanted to see if anyone had any insight on this?
Thanks very much.

Travel insurance might help with the hotel stay if something were to go wrong but any cost of complications would fall under your medical insurance. If you got an infection it is treated as an infection not a treatment for ED so your medical insurance should kick in if there is a complication. Not talking about a full salvage, but an infection or complication .
