Would you have implant again if !!

Calling all guys with implants that used injections. MY question is if injections had still worked for you would you have stayed on injections or would you still get implant and why!

I wanted an implant while the injections worked (most of the time anyway). The only reason I didn't get one was my wife's objections. There was no such thing as spontaneous sex with the injections. After all the rigamarole of getting together the equipment, doing the shot and waiting for it to work, often the moment had passed and my wife had fallen asleep. And my penis ached like crazy for an hour or so after the erection subsided. Yes I wanted the implant because I had done the pump and pill thing already and the implant was the next and final step. I just wanted to get on with it. Like many here, I wished now I had done it a lot sooner. If you have tried everything else already, especially the pills and the needle thing is a pain in the penis, think seriously about an implant. The injections will eventually stop working anyway.

I would agree. I used injections but they werent very spontaneous and bothered my wife to think I had to inject my penis. They also either didnt work or worked too well for too long. I also began to have some scarring that had to be corrected during implant also. And travel always required packing the syringes and meds and hoping I wouldnt have to explain them to anyone. I knew I could get by with them but didnt want to limp along with them but instead took a chance and have no regrets at all. Always a personal decision but glad I decided to have an implant. Thanks guys for your replies I also have tried the pills they have no effect at all. The pump ok for exercise not for sex! I have used injection tri-mix,bi-mix, and Pge1.Tri-mix sent me to ER,Bi-mix lasted 3-5 hours and Pge1 works ok but me and wife miss being spontaneous but wanted to be sure if it is worth the gamble of loosing what we have!

I wonder if the moderator can merge these two. There seems to be duplicates. I ended up with nothing, so it paid off for us. The success and satisfaction rate for implants is very high so imho the answer is yes it is worth the gamble. The injections will stop working eventually and if you have done the pill thing there isn't anything left after the injections. Not much of a gamble really.

8 years of injections. worked for a year, but then had to keep doubling the dose and add pills, then got to where they worked maybe, then tissue got so tough sometimes could not get the needle in even when trying 2-3 different sticks, then got to the point I would have to pump first, then inject, then pump again and put on a ring. Also got an hourglass shape on the left side and a 15 degree curve left from the shots. Muse lasted about 2 minutes tops, Levitra was sort of o.k. except the back pain was a bitch, Viagra so so with blue vission, Cialis used to work but not as well as the levitra or viagra, but has done nothing for 2 years except help keep my b.p. down. Still take 20 mg per day only because my b.p. gets higher when I quit. personally I think the quick fixes, pills , suppositories and shots, are a cheap fix that goes nowhere over time. I think life would have been better with an implant in 1997 but I did not know they even existed till 2010. Still trying to get one. With the shots the throbbing pain can be agravating, and when you are done, providing it lasted long enough to finish, sometimes you were left with a boner you had to wait to go down or take a pseudophed so you could do something else. At least with an implant you would be able to turn the damn thing off so to speak so you could go do something else without a raging boner.d

I did the injections for about a year, and they worked (as long as I was standing up). Based on that, I was diagnosed with venous leakage and told I needed an implant. It took a year to get it done, as the insurance wouldn't cover it, so I had to change carriers and then get it done. I hated the injections, all the planning, prep, etc., I found it totally a mood killer, no spontaneity and totally unromantic. The implant is good to go at a moment's notice, and works even when I lay down. Yes, I would go for the implant over injections any day!

Injections were working for me but similar to what another member wrote, I had to administer stronger doses and my penis would ache afterward. Also, I was developing a curve due to the injections. I like the implant much better--even though it did take three trips to the table to get it just right.

I can echo the comments above, planning sex with injections was like trying to plan a family vacation. Time had to be blocked out for the 3 hours I would have a hard on. Had to wait till the kid was out of the house, hope she did not come home early etc. Zero spontaneity, I now look forward to being able to have a quickie again instead of production.
