Stretched flaccid test

Postby powderpowder » Sun Nov 08, 2015 10:49 pm

How does the urologist do this exactly? Do you find that he stretches it farther than you would normally let yourself, therefore measuring more? And also is there a possibility that he will do a couple different stretch tests to see what your average is, to give him a better idea of what implant he would use?

Thanks

My doctor never measured me prior to surgery. He did the stretch and just said "You'll do fine." My impression was that he has seen thousands of men, and can get a general idea of the size of the external penis. The only important measurements are done on the operating table, when the distal and proximal measurements are done. No doctor would be able to predict the size of implant based on the stretched penile length. The internal measurements are a total unknown until surgery. Just to give you an idea of the differences, there are a number of posters here who have 22 cm implants, as do I, but stretched length and final post surgery lengths vary widely, from 3.5" to 7+", and all have the same length implants. I fall into the smaller end, having 5.25" post surgery. The initial measurements in surgery were 9 cm distal, and 13 cm proximal. Since the corporotomy was more distal, the doctor did a double corporotomy, going further proximally so that the tubing would be buried deeper. Probably TMI, but hope it helps answer your question.

Only one doctor, Milam did a stretch test. He just pulled it out straight to a 90 degree from my body and said this is all you will have which is about 65% of what I get pumped. No hard pull to it. One other doctor did feel it up and down, kind of rolled it through his fingers feeling for hard spots and such but no other doctor ever touched it. Some never even looked at it.
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

Not TMI at all man. Makes total sense. Thank you for the detailed answer.

Basically, it's just gonna come down to if I do have to get an implant in the future, do the VED before surgery, maybe some traction and just hope and pray the doc can get be the best results.

Yes, I definitely recommend the VED protocol. I did it, in fact I had already started it before my first appointment with my doctor, as I saw the published reports on the VED protocol he and Tom Sellers had written. I was concerned with the size loss that I had read about, because "junior" was kinda small going into all of this, and I attribute the VED with having no loss of length post surgery.

I just googled that study you mentioned. Very interesting. I may have to order a VED now and use it just to maintain good penile health for now.
