@williamb I haven't been keen to move anything as it's just over 3 weeks since the op for me so there is some swelling in the area. The surgeon did say after the 2 week check-up that everything seemed to be located perfectly. It's good to know from your experience that the pump will settle down some more in a few weeks. At the moment, it feels a bit awkward, almost itchy, but not uncomfortable.

I've starting to feel happier recently, almost excited about life after full recovery, though I don't want to build my hopes up until I'm fully recovered. It does however feel like a burden has started to lift slowly.

I have the Titan and at first it was attached to the side of the scrotum from scar tissue the Dr said, but now it seems to be free be patient and in time it all becomes a part of you and you really don't think about it being foreign. And size doesn't matter it is how you use it and that you can use it.

The scrotum issue is quite common. Just make sure your doctor didn't physically do anything to lock it down (my 1st Titan had the pump and tubing sutured in place). Top docs. don't normally sew it in place, but they're are a few who unwisely will. I don't think yours did or it seems he would have mentioned it when you inquired at your check up.

You should go ahead and quit being so guarded. Get excited, get happy, move forward. Things are better and will only improve from here. I do think your doctor had you starting the self-cycling routine a little early, but we all heal differently.

Keep us posted on your progress, and congratulations on moving towards a better life.

A quick update from me.

It's been just over 5 weeks now since the op. Practically no pain when flaccid and I can't feel the implant much, it seems to have got better the last week as the reservoir is sitting more comfortably. I've been walking a lot the last few days and the scrotum area is a bit sore but I guess it's to be expected when trying anything new.

I saw the doc about the bleeding, but he said it's coming along well and I don't need sutures. There is some oozing but is practically non-existent, as compared to before. I've not been able to cycle yet because it makes the bleeding issue worse, but I'm quite close I feel. The thought of using the implant still feels a bit unnatural to me but something I'll probably get used to once cycling on a daily basis.

My main concern is still about size. Obviously I haven't been able to pump it much at all, and in a flaccid state, it's probably 4" max, even after 5 weeks. I've seen in other posts that people have mentioned that inflated state should be an inch longer, but don't know if this is correct or not. I really want to inflate asap, but it's quite painful when I pump it a bit (again to be expected). One thing I've noticed is that my glans can really engorge and swell up when aroused so I'm quite happy about that. I don't think the swelling has gone down fully (last time it took me around 10 weeks for a similar op). Plus the body fat has gone up a bit from lack of exercise. All in all, I would be really happy if I can get to 5.25-5.5" if it's fully functioning.

I guess not much I can do for the moment but wait. I have the next catch up with the doc in the 3rd week of Jan. Hopefully I'll get the all clear at that stage.

Does the glans engorge when excited on everyone who has received an implant? Also, does the Cowper's gland still exist after a RP? I always wanted to know about both of these.

Milestone data for me to follow shortly (everyone is different, but I think i took longer than most here to hit important benchmarks, especially for the lower 40s and younger crowd). You've been lurking long enough to know not to worry about size. People preach that over and over. Doesn't matter, when it's YOURS you still do. You always wonder "maybe I wasn't sized correctly" or maybe scar tissue kept me from getting the outcomes everyone else raves about, I should have done it sooner because my size would be better, should have skipped those barbaric at times useless injections, blah blah blah. Anyway....

Day 8: I totally questioned that maybe I got undersized, despite being implanted by arguably the best implanter in the world. I never talked much about size beforehand because I knew Kramer knew what the hell he was doing. I hadn't even cycled yet and things were going the wrong direction. "Shrinking" daily (you actually aren't, you're healing), I said to myself "I should have talked size and importance up front."

Day 27: After about 4 days of light cycling (before I was given the green light to do so). I was pleasantly surprised to see I got most of my length back. slightly aroused I got to 6.75 inches (7 pre-implant). The few days before I wasn't getting past 6. However the thing looked like a pencil and it hurt like hell getting to that point. NO girth. Big time loss of girth. Questioned how that could ever improve and started researching cylinder diameters on line. Laid off of cycling totally until day 38. Had to quit obsessing over it. & I still had irritation around the scar and of course the pump is as hard as a marble. At day 38 post-implant I commit to finally pumping as much as I could twice a day and holding for 10 mins. It hurt.

Day 40 (almost 6 weeks): Sill hurt to cycle, but almost back to normal size. pencil looks more like a sharpie and going right direction

Day 42: First day I noticed the pump softening, and I measured for the very last time. I was 7" clean aroused and girth-wise exactly what it looked like after a pill and injection when that was the last way I could last achieve a penetrating erection. Didn't hold it there too long, I just wanted to see the finished product.I knew that issue was off the table.

I know these benchmarks because I took notes every single day. When you are having a bad day, I beg you to come back to this post/or board. I was there. We all were give or take a week or so along the way.

Other days of note not related to size specifically:
Day 24 - Completely lost feel of deflate valve on a saturday, I was freaking out (had no problems whatsoever the days before and was big time regretting my decision to get it started before I healed sufficiently)

Day 45 - First intercourse. But I realized I needed to get my cardio back up because I hadn't done any since the surgery, which is totally unlike me and I got tired way before he did (he as in my penis, me and my girlfriend).

Day 50 - STILL Can't pump to max or close to it without pain.

Day 61 - I'm a stomach sleeper and I had a bad bed (really firm mattress) and it hurt one morning out of nowhere. Cycling pain STILL not gone two months full later. that didn't last too much longer than that, maybe a couple more weeks, we'll call it almost 3 months.

Day 120 - Appearance-wise there is zero sign of a scar (I'm black and I'm betting because of it the scar was more visible longer as it was lighter in color and it finally evened out) and it was the final chapter and nail in the coffin of any downsides to doing it. FOUR FULL MONTHS to know with 100% unwavering certainty it was the biggest and best decision I've ever made in my life to date.

My one message to you, remain calm at all times. You got this. I can already tell you do in your demeanor. It's going to take a LOT longer than YOU want it to get to your personal benchmarks for success, but you will get there. Promise. Come back here if you are ever a little down, just reading & not even posting (you already know what we'll say back to you anyway), it helps, these guys here got me thru it.

Congrats! Keep us posted

Thanks chiali09, it''s encouraging to see posts such as yours. I know it's a matter of time for the results to come through, but not knowing the final state is kinda scary but no other way around it. I'll start cycling in the next couple of days and keep you posted about my progress. Thank you for the support :D

It's' now been 40 days since the op. I've started cycling as of today. I just pumped the impant to the max, until I couldn't squeeze. It was painful but not too painful. The size was still small, maybe around 4.25", aroused 4.75" max (measuring from the base, kind of in a thrusting pose to expose max possible length). The measurements are not bone pressed. The tips of the implant also didn't reach far into the glans, so they were a bit soft, however when aroused it was a bit better. I'll have to keep any eye on this.

I can still see some padding (swelling?) in the pubic area so maybe a little bit of size is concealed. However this may not help too much as bottom of the penile shaft is not fully exposed because the pump is placed in front of the scrotum in my case. The doc said that this was intended, since it gives easy access to the pump. Though not sure how this will work in practice as I'm sure ladies don't appreciate being thrust with a pump which might be hitting them during the act. Also it's visible as a third testicle, which is not ideal (feels like a mini alien growing inside ).

I really hope the regular cycling I've just embarked on delivers some good results in the coming days / weeks. It will be 6 weeks since post-op on Friday (New Years Day) so am getting anxious. I can't really face the possibility of another surgery, especially as I had to pay out of my own pocket for the op. Added to it, is the pressure of a failing marriage (indirectly related to ED) which may not survive a setback.

My ED began in my early 30s. It progressively got worse. Pills had no benefit and the injection were 100% for about a year. They were painfull, inconvenient and a buzz kill. The injections because hit or miss after 18 months and I was frustrated. My urologist recommended the implant but was honest about the potential loss of size. My partner and I had been together for 18 yeas at the time. There was no one I found to talk to with personal experience; I watched videos and read a few articles. I went thru with the implant. Its been 18 months Now, The length and girth are very different. I lost 2.5 inches in length and two inches in girth. I am able to penetrate, so I am happy about that end result. Oral sex remains an issue because the difference in feel of the shaft and the pump or third testicle. I continue to read testimony and now I find this blog with other recipients. The permanency of the ED occurred due to the radiation treatment for prostate cancer. I am lucky I survived and will continue to work through the adjustment. Thanks for this opportunity to share my experience.

Welcome to the forum Cooper2008. This is indeed a great place to share our experiences. Our ages and ED background seems very similar (though mine was due to VL). It is sad to hear about the length and girth loss, though you seem to have kind of accepted it somewhat? I'm going through the "adjustment" at the moment and the psychological aspects of the whole thing are much harder than physical recovery.
