Pumping up to max

Postby dickey3 » Tue Jan 05, 2016 11:51 am

Hi, I'm eight weeks post op and after having a really hard time with what seemed like a rock instead of a pump am finally getting the pump to work. I have started to cycle daily and was struck first by the lost size and girth, which having read this forum for months is not bothering me yet. I was wondering when one can still squeeze the pump, does that mean that I still have room to grow or when your length is reached is the pump still squeezable with no more fluid to give. The other issue is sometimes after pumping I will deflate, not completely but noticeable. Anyone with any experience with either or both these issues reply would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dickey:

well, I have 700LGX personally and when I get to the max my pump bulb simply cannot be depressed anymore (maybe with a vise grips but i am not going there!). If you seem to be maxed and the pump bulb is still able to be squeezed, I'm not sure. As far as the deflating while inflating, is there any chance that the deflate button is getting depressed while you are holding onto the pump base? I know that I have done that several time and lost some of the erection? again, I have the AMS 700LGX and it might be different for other products??

Good luck.

Dickey,

My guess would be that the only things that can stop you from pumping are:

- All fluid is already pumped in to the cylinders. No more fluid in the reservoir. In my case, this cannot happen. Dr. Eid slightly overfilled the reservoir to make sure that erection is not limited by amount of fluid. I don't know what other doctors do.

- Cylinders are full and cannot expand more.

- Pain.

- Device malfunction.

I don't think your not-happened-yet regain of length will stop you from pumping. That would fall into category 3 above in that case.

But I'm no doctor. Best is to ask yours.

Which implant do you have? That will get replies from folks who have the same one and that will be more useful to you.

As a follow up to my comment yesterday on the device deflating, while waiting for my doctor to call, I received a call from Boston Scientific who makes the device and after describing to them what was happening the rep told me he thought I had a leak and would need to have a replacement device. I do n't know if that's the entire device or just the leaking part but that's where I am now. I am also considering either Kramer or Eid. I have Medicare and my part with them is either 4 grand or 3 grand respectively. my communication with the guy who did it the first time is not so great and it if it has to be done again, I'm leaning to doctors better known with a proven record. Any thoughts.
Thanks
