How soon after implant can the beast be used in anger?

If there a rule of thumb? I was implanted on Dec 22nd and had a follow up 2 weeks later. All was well, and told to cycle daily, but I was told NOT to have any sex for another 6 weeks, which will be 8 weeks post op..

I started cycling 13 days after surgery.
My doc said I could have sex whenever I wanted. Pain was the only limit. Not time.
I did it after 3.5 weeks which was the first time I saw my wife after surgery.
