Hello everyone
After trying everything (pills, pump, shots), I will be getting my Titan in on March 2. I have been to a few doctors about this and finally found one that I feel comfortable with. My question for you guys is that I found out that there is a couple of ways to proceed to put the implant in (either under the penis or just above the base of the penis) so which way did you have it done? I will be having this done close to the base of the penis and was told that I will be off work for about one week but it seems from the previous post that more time off will be needed. I know everyone is different but how much time off did you take?
I know as the time gets closer, I will have more questions and more nervous....LOL
Thanks,
Computerman

Joining the club!
52 yr old male. Had coloplast titan installed 3/2/16. 20cm + 1 cm extender. ED of the result of radiation treatments and testicular cancer.
Re: Joining the club!
Congratulations! It's a big decision and one I certainly didn't take lightly. I had my implant installed scrotally by Dr. Andrew Kramer in Baltimore. Both the scrotal and infrapubic yield excellent results, and there are minor differences and academic disagreements as to which way is best, but what really matters is what your surgeon is most experienced with and prefers. You'll be fine either way. I ended up taking a week of work and I probably pushed it a little, I probably should have taken another couple days off. But I work in the service industry, and I'm on my feet all day.
Re: Joining the club!
I did the infrapubic (above the penis) as opposed to the penoscrotal (under the penis) and received a Titan Touch Zero Degree. I had to have the stupid catheter in for four days as opposed to the 24 hours that most men receive. I had a week where I was wiped out and I did some moderate work (I'm at a computer mainly) the second week but didn't go to any job sites.
If you could get two weeks I would recommend it even though it's hard for most guys to pull that off (too many puns here; none intended).

Everyone is different but I had my implant done on Mon Nov 30th., got discharged on Dec 1st and put in a half day at work on the following day. The remaining work days that first week I did 6 hour days and by the next week I was back to full days. I was very fortunate.
As I said, everyone is different and I hope only the best for you!

Hello,
Thanks C Labs for the info. I think i will take at a week off but will play it by ear.At least the doctor that I saw this time has done many of this type of operation and the front office made the whole thing very easy to schedule. Also thanks for posting on what you experienced during your whole thing. No, I didn't take this lightly at all but once the shots were not working, I knew what I had to do if I wanted to have sex again.
Charlesr...why was the catheter in for so long? My surgery will be done in the morning and out by afternoon.
Scooter.. I hope that my surgery will be as short and pain free as yours was.
Thanks for the feedback. If you have any pointers or advice before and after surgery, I would appreciate that.
Thanks
