Also do the pelvic floor exercises (Kekgs in think they are called? ) EVERY DAY AND LOTS!! for a while and while driving and sitting...) these really help me so much so after my prostate removal I was not leaking and have not need pads... Still keep doing the exercises just a few every day once into them. These strengthen the stop valve on the bladder I understand, and this helps me lots!! I do them in bed, watching TV, and even now while typing this.. Go for but keep at it initially and I'm sure this will help..
Best regards,

Andy

Same story here. My leakage is a bit of a dribble after urinating, but I have not reached the pad stage. Mine is likely caused by my radiation treatment. Virtually 100% of men treated for PC with radiotherapy will development some level of incontinence and I am no exception. That and a sudden urgency to pee! Growing old ain't for sissies!!

I've never had any problems with my prostate but I did have a Coloplast Titan One Touch installed in March 2014 & I do have the issue with slight leakage (dripping) after urinating. I read somewhere on this site that normal erectile tissue somehow squeezes the urethra closed after peeing but since that's been removed & replaced with the implants there's nothing to prevent the dripping. It's no problem at home; I simply "shake it like a rockstar" after I'm done. When I go into a public restroom I'll frequently go into a stall so I can shake it without being embarrassed & I don't wear light-colored pants anymore so the stains don't show. To me, it's no big deal.

I've had several implants and don't have this issue NOW. A couple of times this did occur shortly after the procedure. It always went away after a few months for me.

Did it just go on it's own or did you need to do pelvic floor exercises? After my first (duff) implante I was fine, it is just with the new Coloplast OTR one implanted on 22nd Dec 15.

My strong recommendation would be to call Andrew Kramer in Baltimore, he's posting hundreds of videos of implants but also the AUS and incontinence surgeries- he seems to be tops with both. His site as usual shows "proof" of lots of cases he did where he matter a faculty describes the surgery. My advice is stop the guesswork and go to this guy.

At my last doctor visit I posed this question to Dr. Cornell. He said this will happen when the cylinders are not properly deflated and they push against the urethra which traps some urine. It leaks out later when you put it up in a down position.

The answer is to make sure you deflate the cylinders, i.e. squeeze them like hell (my words not his).

I am developing the practice of making sure I am well deflated, think how long it took you to inflate the IPP. I also squeeze the shaft before I take a leak, every time. A side benefit is I am now hanging at five-thirty and some times six o'clock.

Someone on FT said they were told to press the urethra below your testicles afterwards and milk out any urethra urine.
