Day 5 post op, not taking any pain pills. I have discomfort but just from a constant semi hard on that is pointed upwards. Still faint bruising at tip and at the right base. Used a hernia truss to keep the package immobilized and pointed upwards. Had a little panic attack on day 2 post op and called the doctor and saw him the next day. Scared because I can feel reservoir on right side but I hear if you are relatively slim then normal to feel. He said I was feeling tubing but I think reservoir similar to what dirtman1993 experienced. In 9 days likely first inflation. To be honest was 100%convinced I should get a implant, but I have doubts. Seems natural to have them, wondering if we ( me and my penis) did the right thing. Read about it in other posts. But the bottom line is I had a dysfunctional erection, and I needed parts to help me, just like if I needed a heart valve or orthopedic prosthetic or cadaver part. I just hope my penis feels more real than fake boobs.

Day 7 post op. For what ever reason the penis and scrotum seemed extra sensitive during the night and i had to sleep naked The electric fan felt great. It was like having hard-on for too long or razor burn feeling on the face when you put on the aftershave. Not overwhelming pain but annoying, as I woke up pain free. I thinks the body adapting to the sensation of the implant. Bought better jock strap brand shockdoctor 218 model at Dicks sporting goods, serious. No pun intended. Got ones they use for baseball without the protector but there is kangaroo pouch inside to place a protector. I place 1-2 handkerchief inside the pouch to help keep the penis pointed upright. This jock lot better than the 1977 model Kaiser gave me. Wound has basically stopped oozing with definite bruised scrotal sac but swelling and tenderness minimal or not at all. Just taking OTC alleve for pain which is also called naproxen. Urinating and Pooping no problems. 9 DAYS UNTIL FIRST INFLATION and hopefully 37 days until maiden voyage.

I just want to make sure I understand which prosthesis you received. You called it an "AMS 700 ms." I thought the two existing AMS implants were the CX and the LGX. It there another?

My own 'Operative Report' says that I received an AMS CX700 - MS Pump

When I look at link below I see that you are correct in that there is a CX and an LGX but that only refers to the Cylinders.
The MS means 'Momentary Squeeze' and refers only to the pump.
Apparently it is smaller(more comfort) than the older 'Tactile' Pump and designed so that you don't need to keep holding the deflation valve while squeezing the cylinders. However they do admit that because it is smaller it is often harder to get hold of, especially the deflate button.
They say that the older Tactile was easier to use if you didn't need it concealed, but is not available with LGX
(Wonder if the smaller size contributes to those people complaining that pump may act as if out of fluid. Haven't got to use mine yet so wait and see).

Yes, KMeister, AMS 700 ms. Ms-momentary squeeze, there are different models with Ms. That is the CX and LGX. I will check out my report for the specifics as to which one is implanted

I am at 17 days post op and I have activated 4x already. Actually first activation was 14 days post op. First time and 2nd time painful as mudha f...k. But not like getting kicked in the nuts. Felt like when you were a kid and your parent would pinch you in the ribs but the discomfort is constant. On a scale of 1 to 10 in pain, 4-5 being tolerable and not needing pain meds. I would call it 6-7 pain scale. Not bringing tears to your eyes but give you a little sweat on the forehead; the pain primarily in head of penis 6-7 scale (the glans), while shaft was about 5-6. Pumping experience, first time lol, yes also 6-7 pain but pain around tissue surrounding pump decreases somewhat after finishing pumping. In the following activation pain has decreased around the pump when inflating about 5-6. Pain in the shaft and glans penis about a 6 now when inflated. I can tolerate about10- 20 mins inflated then I deflate.
Quality of erection,
1- hardness, definitely
2- fullness in glans, somewhat but blood flow maybe limited due to lack of arousal secondary to pain. (My glans penis looks fuller in flaccid and less painful state).
3- straightness yes from superior view (dorsal) looking from above at the penis, with slight tilt to the right. Instead of perpendicular 90* angle about 2-3 degree deviation. Lateral view, straight.
4- size measuring from pubic bone ~6 inch, girth, felt like 4 and 1/2 inch tennis racket handle.
5- penoscrotal scar sensation numb at cephalad end and increasing as you go to caudal end.
6- total pumps to full erection 4 pumps

Summary: I anticipate and hope as tissue heals and pain lessens that the quality of the erection characteristics will change for the better. My surgeon said no sex or excercise as not to disrupt internal sutures until 6 weeks out (42 days post op).

The doctor mentioned that activation can begin at 2 weeks post op provided the patient could tolerate the pain, as I experienced. He says it can vary dependent on healing process of each patient. At 2 days post op he deflated me a small amount due to discomfort. At that time it hurt like a bitch in labor when he deflated lol.
