Becoming Bionic
Re: Becoming Bionic
My size and shape have changed since the surgery. At first I was pretty disappointed with it, but it has improved some now. I am slightly shorter, and a little thinner up top past the circumcision scar and near the glans. I am a little wider at the base and the bottom half. It creates kind of a traffic cone or triangular shape to the girth. Sensation was definitely dull and numb coming out of the surgery and is just now starting to improve.
Re: Becoming Bionic
What about the cylinder tip to end of glans issue, has that resolved, improved, been looked at? Glad the numbness is improving. Based on emails from Kramer, I think he would be happy to look at it again and if need be make an effort to correct any issues. Have you had good post surgery communication? Hope all is well and improvement progresses forward.

When it comes to issues and complaications with the surgery. Do the doctors promise to repaid any mistakes? or would you have to pay them all over again?
Re: Becoming Bionic
Implants are warranted by the manufacturer if they fail. You still have to pay for reimplantation which would include, meds, hospital fees, and doctors fees. I doubt a doctor would admit to a mistake due to litigation possibilities. You must remember, the body is not precision machine work that can be duplicated 10,000 times. The body is highly variable in response, condition, shape, size, healing properties, and the way it reacts to a foreign body. That said, if there are issues, one would have to think a good and passionate doctor would try to work with you to resolve the issues with minimal distress. How many of those doctors are there? I do not know. Many will still want full fee or insurance reimbursement. Some will have to have their fees even if they would prefer to assist you because it is the policy of the facility they work for. You just need to ask your doctor.

Re: Becoming Bionic
I've been holding off on updates because my condition has been changing from day to day. But I will say that just last night I inflated near the max of what I can stand, and I noticed that the right cylinder tip had settled in a much safer, deeper spot in my glans. For a couple of weeks or so my penis was curving more to the left and it has now straightened back out. I'm still marveling at how much my penis has changed since the first few inflations. It is gradually becoming more comfortable. When my own blood is flowing my girth is back to pre op size except for near the glans, where it's still a bit thinner. Not so bad though. I still get a lot of discomfort when I inflate a lot, and my pump is still uncomfortably high. Those are the main two issues but it's useable now and I don't think any disasters will occur.

Re: Becoming Bionic
Reading your story from the start is very helpful to all. Dr. Kramer has always been there to answer all my questions and provide guidance when the pump got quirky. It was hard to locate the deflate button and he suggested a remedy which helped. Some of my discomfort during inflating has been a muscle burn type and probably caused by girth/length returning. I pump up to 10 times and wait and pump more to expand further.
I was sorry to hear the hell you had right out of surgery and count myself as lucky. No reaction to drugs and only needed liquid Oxycontin in the recovery as the pain was rather harsh. Looking back at My Journey photos and seeing the swelling/bruising it reminds me how what I went through. Would I do it again, you bet. Sex is great again and dealing with the burning while inflating to max is worth it. In 6 months or so things will be much calmer and I plan on using as much as possible to catch up on lost years.
So very glad things are working out.

The way it was explained to me is that the AMS comes out of the box with the tubing fully attached and when your penis is on the larger side the docs use the RTE's to allow for the pump to hang lower. In your case and in mine that wasn't enough. Mine is positioned just like yours and it is not only anoying, It's very disturbing to the body and your psyche.
That is exactly what I have been told about mine. Too short of tubing and not made for larger penis or scrotums. Tip extenders are a must and mine have none.
I will try to call you tomorrow if I get a chance.
Fingers crossed all goes well this time.

Re: Becoming Bionic
Went back to Dr. Kramer today, and was pleased with the visit. He pumped me up and inspected his work. He agreed that the pump is too high. He also felt that the cylinders were correctly positioned at the base, so no major problems there. I very much appreciated his honesty when he admitted that he was worried for a while that he had oversized me slightly on my right hand side with that extra half centimeter rear tip. If you'll recall, initially when inflating I had a lot of pain and a kink in the right cylinder. That has smoothed out a lot and the cylinder tip is now in a much better position in the glans. I still get a lot of discomfort when I pump it up near the max, but that's because Kramer gave me the max I could possibly handle. He thinks it could take another six months or so before my body stops adapting and gaining size to accommodate the device. Nevertheless, he did also admit that on the left side the cylinder tip did not go up into the glans quite far enough, which is why I've been getting a slight bend to the left, as well as a slight drooping of the glans down and to the left. It's actually not terrible, and my implant is still useable. At the very least he wants to fix the pump, replacing it with a new one and splicing it to make sure it sits as low as possible in my scrotum. He also gave me the option to fix up my left side, but it would involve reopening the left corpora and maybe adding another half centimeter or centimeter of tip extender, or maybe just making sure that the left cylinder tip sits all the way up in the glans. He thought it would be easy to do, but it would add to recovery time. As of right now, I'm scheduled for a pump revision on June 15th, with the possibility of also having my left corpora redilated and the tip repositioned or the cylinder lengthened. I think it's a good fix and probably worth the risk and the recovery, and it will help the minor issues I've had without the full trauma of a complete revision surgery with a brand new device.

Re: Becoming Bionic
Glad you got some great news. Will see doctor Kramer May 5th and things appear fine. I am getting better with release and may be my final inspection. Still hope to get more girth over time but it has only been 2 months so plenty of time. Let us know how the pump replacement goes. Maybe Dr. Kramer will tape replacement on put on YouTube for others just in case any of us have to go through if future.
