I learned from a doctor's lecture at a prostate cancer support group that the engorgement of the glans (swelling of the head) is a completely different process from the penis' becoming erect. In my own case, I have had the natural glans engorgement return, so most every morning I wake up with a swollen glans (and a soft shaft). I call this my "morning wood-ette"!
