Implant and Vasectomy together

Postby Lost Sheep » Mon Sep 12, 2016 4:15 pm

While I am older, after implantation, the possibility of being with a woman young enough to conceive is a theoretical possibility. It might be prudent and responsible to have a vasectomy while the scrotum is open. Is there any reason not to?

Has this idea occurred to others on this forum?

Of course, this presupposes that we determined the prophylactic function of a condom is unnecessary.

If you can avoid having a vasectomy, please do. I'm also a member of another forum, Post-Vasectomy Pain Forum, where you can read accounts of many, many men who now have debilitating pain as a result of having a vasectomy. I had years of horrible testicular pain (although not from a vasectomy, in my case) , resulting in four surgical procedures to get the pain to a level that I can live with. Your doctor will most likely not give you the true statistics on the risks, but now they are admitting to between a 5 - 20% chance that there will be significant ongoing pain afterwards. Please check out: http://www.postvasectomypain.org

Personally, I would ignore the nay sayers. I had a vasectomy many years ago. My wife had been on the pill for several years Her Dr. told her he wanted her off the pill and said it was about time I carried the ball now. After thinking about it I totally agreed. Four of my buddies from my work had decided to have on also. We all had our families and so there was no reason not too.

I had never experienced any pain or other side effects. Well there was one.....I have spent my life up to this point shoot blanks. It is great not worrying about getting your wife or in your case some young thing with an unwanted child. And yourself a life time of child support.

If your Dr. agrees go for it my friend. You will never regret it.

Oh, for got to mention I was implanted after all these years 18 month ago. I'm a happy camper and my wife is ever more so.
