Q for Aussies here: Anyone has experience with Dr Hodo Haxhimolla in Canberra?

Postby morphintime » Sun Jan 01, 2017 7:34 am

37 yo with ED here. Have suffered from it for over 10 years. Cialis worked until recently. It still sort of works but not reliably, which is why I'm considering getting an implant. For me injections are not only undesirable, but I find them to be impractical given the cost and the hassle. So first I'd like your opinions on getting an implant at this age given my situation.

Secondly, I'd like to ask the Aussie guys here if any of you have experience with Dr Hodo Haxhimolla in Canberra. I'm in Canberra so its most convenient to get it done by him. In particular I'd like your impressions on how he compares with better known surgeons in Australia such as Chris Love or Darren Katz. Is the difference worth going through the inconvenience of getting done interstate?

Lastly, could the Aussie guys here give me an estimate of the total cost involved?

Thanks.

As for doc, I can only say darren and chris have been great.

As to cost, assuming you have good private insurance (Im in CBHS, ~6k/yr for family), I'm currently about $5k out of pocket.
Note I live in Melbourne so have no travel costs.

Currently I don't think things are perfect as the tips dont appear to be in the glans but I wont make any judgements until 6 months and it is really usable so I don't mind too much. I still have a crinkle in the perineum which should make it straight when I can cycle fully.
Length is about the same (I think).

Thanks very much for the reply. As a matter of fact I don't have private health insurance. Any clues to how much the total cost would be with only medicare? Size is very important to me because I only got just over 5 inch of erect length and just over 4 inch erect girth. Has there been any changes to your girth since the surgery? Also correct me if I'm wrong but I thought tips were never supposed to extend inside the glans.

I'm also thinking of getting my girth enhanced though PMMA some time down the line. Does anyone know if that would in any way be conflicting with the implant?

Also would love to hear from Aussies with experience with Dr. H as I previously mentioned.

Have not measured girth, seems about the same. Still waiting for things to settle. 3 months I'm told is a good

Yes the tips should be 1/2 into the glans. I think this may be my fault though for wearing pants too soon, the tip of the penis pushes against the pants and bends up or down which I suspect has stretched things a bit. I guess the consequence is that I will be 1cm longer than otherwise.
The tips currently reach the corona or a bit more when pumped but retract when deflated. I wont make any assessments before 3 months anyway.
It still feels great to use and is not disconcerting. It is not something I would have corrected and go through surgery again. And most importantly, my wife loves it too. I can almost use it deflated ATM which is quite strange too.

again YMMV
cheers

So has the doc given any clue as to how much it would have cost if you didn't have private health insurance?
