I am happy that we were able to provide information that can help you on making this important decision. I want to stress the advise that you will read it everywhere: get a top surgeon. Please, do not settle for a good one; get an excellent one.

its funny you say that because today i decided when i see my local urologist/surgeon i am going to ask him to refer me to Dr.Brock. I will feel very comfortable under his care i think its worth the wait. I'm starting to feel better and better about the decision, there isn't a doubt in my mind this is the best thing to do. Its time to say good bye to my "hopes" of spontaneous remission. I just hope he will decide to do surgery right away. My plan is to take the anti-inflammatories that my other urologist suggested i take before he would do surgery, and by the time i see Brock, if things haven't gotten better we wouldn't have to do the "wait and see" thing. It seems full proof. Any advice? How long did it take for your urologist to decide on an implant? I'm not doing injections, that's a temporary solution that'll just makes my fibrosis worse, why not preserve tissue and do the operation sooner.

In my case, I followed the traditional path of medical treatments, and as soon as I saw that they were just unreliable patches, I focus all my efforts on get educated about the implant permanent solution. It took us as a couple a bit over a year to get on the path, which we do not regret at all. Once we understood and internalize that it is a "piping", hydraulic issue, it was an easy step to take.
