I agree with you 100%. Doctor Kramer was insistent that he alone do my surgery since it was such a mess. I was equally insistent that students be there because someone has to be trained to fix these #uck-ups for the future. He did allow a student to participate in little bits of it ( she also made a good call) but doctor Kramer did all of the important work. Who wants a doctor who never did an implant, just watched, then taught by a sales rep or one of Perito's 50 minute implant classes? I certainly want someone who can say "oh, I have seen that many times before and this is how we fix it.

Incidentally I forgot to mention this. While taking my surgical history, after I gave the list of 18 abdominal surgeries on my intestines I was asked if I had a sigmoid colectomy by any chance. That is the lower last section of the colon. Yes, it was the third surgery when I was 40. Turns out guys who have the sigmoid removed almost 100% end up with ED that doesn't respond to all the pills, injections, etc. to "fix" it. Has to do with nerve bundles to the cock being in proximity to tissue removed with a colectomy. I remember well my first ED episode. After I healed from the colectomy enough to have sex my wife booked us into a nearby bed and breakfast overlooking a big lake. She was ready for an exciting night, as was I. Then nothing would happen. I felt like a ten story building just dropped on my head. I wanted to go all rock star and break everything in the room. We spent the next day walking around the tourist town we were in with me being completely non participatory and detached from reality. In 25 years since it hasn't improved much from that. I survived the suicidal phase only because my father killed himself and I knew how we hated him for that. I couldn't subject my family to that. After all this time, getting an implant is gonna be like sex for the first time again.
Became DaveKell 2.0 on July 18th with Dr. Allen Morey in Dallas, TX. AMS 700 CX implant. 18cm with 5.5 RTE's.

Hey Dave, I remember doing some research on the AMS and subsequently is why I chose the Titian. Look into the AMS LGX, it will help with both the length and girth just a little more over the CX. Also now that you are a member of Frank Talk, know we are here to help in any way you need.

So in your guys' experiences, would it be likely that I can request that the actual doctor who I think is doing the surgery to actually do the surgery? Especially since this is out of pocket for me.

Would I get this in writing?
Titan OTR. Dr. Hakky - successful surgery and very happy with outcome.
My advice: choose a world-class surgeon and make yourself the healthiest you can.

Probably not at a teaching hospital. Students would be much more careful I would think and they are supervised.

Dr. Perito, who fixed my first surgeon's mistake, told me he fixes a lot of other doctor's mistakes, including two that day (or that week - my memory is for shit...)......

Hi guys,
About Medicare covering the implant, be very careful, Medicare and advantage (Obamacare), will cover only in cases of Peyronie's, your doctor has to use Billing Code 54300 or 54405 (repair of curvature) even if you don't have Peyronie's..

If the doctor uses Code 54410 and Code 54300 (insertion), Medicare and advantage plans won't cover it.
So be sure you get all the approvals in writing and be careful what you or your partner signs. Especially in the hospital before the operation.

Revisions are harder much harder for the advantage plans to pay. They know you already have an implant, I am pretty sure Peyronie's is not recurrent.

I think you need to verify your sources; that information is not factual (aside that Medicare Advantage has nothing to do with ObamaCare).
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.
