Or do I show it at all?

I've never been patted down at the airport due to my implant. With so many people walking around with various surgical pins and implants (breasts, knees, hips, etc.) these days my guess is that screeners have been trained to notice them, then move on. I did get a extra pat down once for losing my temper because I thought someone was being rude to my wife. Afterward, I got a scolding from my wife. Sheesh!

I raised this very issue several months ago. I have had the implant for just over a year and every time I have flown since getting it the machine has flagged me and I've been escorted to the side for a pat down. It's happened so often that I now choose the pat down option up front and just avoid the imaging machine altogether. Until this thread I was under the impression that something must be different about my implant since no one else seems to get flagged as often as I.

I've only had mine for 2.5 months. Have been on around 20 flights so far. Security in 6 different countries in three continents. Never any problem.

Tonight I asked about the implant card and the conversation went to travel. Told the difference is the model scanner they use. The newer ones will show the implant like a high quality xray scan. Clear image and supposedly they are trained to recognize it. Some models do not give as clear an image and you get the feel good treatment. I could see the screen at a federal building I was visiting last year and was surprised the outline of penis nuts and ball sac was quite clear. Boobs were blurred slightly, I assume due to 1 behind the other. I am sure a machine like that would show the implant clearly too. I asked the guy then about it and he says he sees body parts all day, no big deal.
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

I have made several flights, I do not remember being patted down, and I get right through.

Specifically, there is no trouble with the "old fashioned metal detector" scanner. My surgeon told me that the fancy "body scanner" that most airports use will see the implant, but the person who looks at the body images is trained to know what an implant looks like. I have flown maybe ten times, and have not had a problem, I did not need to disclose since I sailed right through. I do not carry a card in my wallett (never got one, really is not needed)

(63 yo, Titan 22cm implant Feb 2017 by Dr Eid) I'm super pleased with my length/girth/implant performance. See my story at "The road to becoming a bionic male: Answers ..."

I had a TSA pat down. I just told him to go easy on my groin due to surgery 2 days ago. He avoided my groin. I was in a wheel chair courtesy of Delta.

I can't count the number of times I have flown and have been patted down so many times the TSA Agents are on a first name basis almost. I have not flow since the implant. I have a lot of extra bionic parts from when a Caddie tried to eat my Harley back in the 70's. My thoughts.... better to be patted down than blown up. TSA wears a badge for a reason and we have to back the blue. Anyone reading this that wears the shield, my hat is off to you. Thank you for what you do for my family and me. May God be with you every second!
