Im definitely following the antibiotic regimen to the letter. But, I am going to take probiotics and continue eating probiotic food because all of us who take a course of antibiotics has our beneficial gut bacteria annihilated.

Just be careful getting back to work to quick. Sometime you young guys bruise and swell worst than us old guys. For 58 I am in pretty good shape and was working out 5 days a week. By reading the post I was slow getting back.

Cnid - Sounds like you're doing all the right things, good choice of Dr., eat healthy, and have good support group to keep you off your feet. & being 27 helps. I am a nutter too, organic, grow my own food, bake my own bread, grind my own flour. It makes a difference. This surgery did kick my ass though for at least 3 weeks. But then I'm not young either. Best of luck. I'll be looking forward to your posts.

Im going to be on my back for the entirety of the first week. I have enough books for that.

Ill make a thread detailing everything once I get near surgery.

Thanks for the input guys,
Titan OTR. Dr. Hakky - successful surgery and very happy with outcome.
My advice: choose a world-class surgeon and make yourself the healthiest you can.

From my recent surgery, i would kindly offer that is too early.
Like everyone had said it depends on many factors.
Week one I just took it easy, lots of laying down.
Weeks 2 and 3, I worked from home (I was fortunate to be able to have done so).
Week 4 i returned to work, and that may have been too early...
Good luck, and make the right call for what recovers you the best.

Cnidium, the more I think about it, to go back to a job in the second week with that many hours is probably not wise. You could set your self back so much that you lose 3 weeks. The pain for me only lasted 3 days. Ice work great with ibuprofen for another 10 days. It is just so sore. Now it also depends on the type of incision you have. Eid does scrotum so that is what I had. Talk with youngwithed on here. He is 22 years old. He will tell you how it feels for a young guy.
